Trivia: In one of the letters that Gerry sends Holly about choosing a future career he says "and there's no such thing as a Vampire Slayer". Funny statement since one of the stars of the film is James Marsters, who is famous for his role as Spike in Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Trivia: Hilary Swank was injured during filming when Gerald Butler's suspender belt snapped off and struck her in the forehead. The cut she suffered required several stitches.
Continuity mistake: After Holly and Gerry’s argument near the start, when Gerry begins his little dance in boxers, as he removes his leather jacket one of the back suspender clasps comes undone. When he lies down beside Holly, both back clasps are on properly. (00:10:45)
