Trivia: In Star Wars, the name Tosche Station was inspired by real-life San Francisco detective Dave Toschi, one of the lead investigators on the Zodiac Killer case. George Lucas, who lived in the Bay Area during the Zodiac murders, followed the case closely and admired Toschi's work. Feeling the detective was unfairly criticized, Lucas used his name for Luke Skywalker's local hangout as a subtle tribute. The name is often misspelled as "Tashi" or "Toshi."
