Continuity mistake: Sakurai is having a steak dinner at home; in the close-up of the two steaks and fries, one of the men is holding a beer glass with their right hand, but it's not the case in the next shot. (00:07:40)
Continuity mistake: In this movie, Godzilla is shown to have a weakness to electricity. This directly contradicts the earlier films where electricity has no effect on him.
Revealing mistake: At one point in the final battle, as they are approaching the cliff where the fight's climax will take place, during a wide shot, King Kong and Godzilla are both two action figures that are hitting each other.

Trivia: This is the first Godzilla movie in colour. Thanks to that, we get confirmation that Godzilla is not green, and that his atomic breath is blue and not just ordinary fire.
