Continuity mistake: In the scene where John finishes talking to Kate on the phone and reverses his jeep into the trash cans, notice how the girls are lined up when they're seen laughing. The next time we see them they're lined up in a different way. (00:55:45)
Other mistake: In the very beginning of the movie, we first meet John Tucker as he makes a slam dunk. Obviously, this would be worth 2 points. However, if you watch the referee behind John, he signals a 3 point shot. (00:03:00)
Continuity mistake: In the gym where the teacher talks about combining all gym classes and how 'we all hate each other', we see a shot of the bench and a bunch of girls sitting down. If you look to the left you can see Beth sit down. In the very next shot Beth can be seen walking behind the teacher. In fact this scene has several continuity errors with regards to people walking around, especially before and after the goth girl says 'my name is Lucretia'. (00:08:55)
Visible crew/equipment: When John Tucker is going from the balcony, through the door, into the cheer leading coach's hotel room (when he has the red thong on) you can see one of the crew members standing outside on balcony as he is entering.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where John is climbing from his hotel room to Kates' room, they should be on the same side of the hall, since he is trying to climb from his window to hers. After he is caught, they obviously go into rooms on opposite sides of the hall.
Continuity mistake: In the gym, when the girls are fighting Kate gets smacked in the face with the volley ball and she falls down to the ground, but in the next shot she's standing behind the girls, then in the next overhead shot of the gym she's getting up.
Other mistake: In the beginning of the film, when Kate is talking about all of the boyfriends Lori has had, she says that her mum has developed a very mature reaction after each man. She has a therapy session and then packs up and moves. Just before, we see men coming out of the same house, not different houses as if they had stayed in the same place and not moved, like Kate said.
Continuity mistake: When the four girls are in the bedroom eating pizza and chocolate (after John dumps them all), pay attention to when Carrie, Beth and Heather attempt to leave the room. The number of items Carrie is carrying changes between shots. (00:32:40)
