Factual error: When Bond is flying from Europe to Baltimore on his way to Goldfinger's studfarm in Kentucky, Pussy states that they are flying at 35,000 feet. Flying west, they would fly at an even altitude, not odd.
Factual error: When Goldfinger drives through Switzerland we see Hotel Belvedere on the Furka pass in the background. Directly after that scene, Bond locates Goldfinger's car on the radar. We see it on a map from Geneva, which is in fact nearly 250 km away from Furka pass.
Factual error: The homing device shows Goldfinger traveling North, from Geneva. The mountains in the long shots are on his right (looking west)?
Continuity mistake: After the game of golf between Goldfinger and Bond, Goldfinger gets Oddjob to show off his usually dangerous hat. He throws the hat at the statue and we see it fly off to the right of the screen, well away from the statue. Yet in the following shot, the decapitated head falls down next to the hat on the ground right by the statue.
Continuity mistake: When Bond ejects the car seat with the Korean from his Aston Martin, the Korean leaves through the roof of the car with his legs straight (as seen inside the car). The scene changes outside the car and now the Korean can be seen fully seated in the car seat.
Continuity mistake: At Fort Knox, when Oddjob throws his hat at Bond it lands on the grille, yet appears on the concrete floor in the next shot.
Continuity mistake: The Aston has a dent in the side that comes and goes between scenes.
Factual error: Goldfinger says his Rolls is made from gold, but the magnetic homing device clings to it. You can't attach a magnet to gold.
Suggested correction: The Rolls wouldn't be 100% gold; much of the bodywork could be, but there would be steel areas to maintain the integrity of the vehicle for driving, and the boot lid where he attaches the device could be made of steel. I suspect a car made entirely from gold, which is a soft metal, would be undriveable as it would likely not stand up to the rigours of road travelling.
Also, gold has a density nearly three times more than steel, so a gold car wouldn't be able to move or be transported by air.
Other mistake: Pussy Galore's flying circus is approaching Fort Knox flying in a V-shaped formation. Pussy is counting down from 5 to 0 before they release the nerve gas. On each count, we see another female pilot in a different plane but we also see another plane through the right side window. If you fly with 5 planes in such formation, only 3 planes can have another plane at their right side, not 4 or 5.
Revealing mistake: When the CIA guys are following Odd Job to the airport in "Kentucky" there are several indicators that show they are in Florida. One is a big sign that says Opa Locka, which is north Miami.
Continuity mistake: The complex in Switzerland (Auric Enterprises) when seen from the hills beyond is a few widely spaced buildings of sheet metal construction. After nightfall when Bond goes down to investigate, the site has turned into a veritable city of closely spaced buildings of brick construction.
Continuity mistake: In the barn, Bond's handkerchief irons and rearranges itself between shots.
Continuity mistake: In Goldfinger's plane, when Bond orders his Martini, the stuff on the table changes positions between shots.
Continuity mistake: In the opening sequence, Bond sets some explosives, then checks his watch. A closeup shot shows he wears the watch on the outside of his black long-sleeve outfit. He rushes outside, and the following shot he peels off the top to reveal a white smoking jacket. But he never removes the watch first, as it is now *inside* his jacket sleeve.
Continuity mistake: Bond drops a bottle of wine onto the floor after being hit by Oddjob and he falls and lands almost on top of the bottle, but in the next shot it's a few feet away to his left.
Factual error: When the Flying Circus is on it's way to Ft Knox, the lead pilot reports they are proceeding at 240 knots. Top speed on a Piper Cherokee 180 (the plane in question) is/was 141 knots.
Continuity mistake: In bed with the escort, the champaigne bottle's label turns around 180º between shots.
Other mistake: Jill's sister wants to kill Goldfinger for killing Jill, but Oddjob kills her, using his deadly metal hat. Problem is: Jill has no signs of death, no decapitation, no broken neck, no blood, nothing.
Continuity mistake: When Oddjob drives Mr. Solo to the airport, he drives him in a black car. After he shoots him and takes him to the scrap yard, then he has the car crushed in the compactor. When it comes out, it's the compacted remains of a car painted a lighter shade of blue.
Suggested correction: The cars are the same color; it looks darker in different light.
Continuity mistake: When entering Fort Knox we see the laser cutting from left to right across the metal door, which is subsequently pulled out. But when we see the door from the inside, it looks as if the laser has cut also both sides. There was no time for that - and we do not see the laser make such movements as going up or down.
