Factual error: The troop trucks you see belonging to the Japanese Army are incorrect post-War models. During World War II, the Imperial Japanese Army employed trucks that were nearly carbon copies of the Studebaker 3-axle 2 1/2 ton model (or used captured British Bedford trucks).
Sayuri Narration: At the temple, there is a poem called "Loss" carved into the stone. It has three words, but the poet has scratched them out. You cannot read Loss, only feel it.
