The Game

Question: Where did Conrad get the money to pay CRS?

Answer: Nicholas offers to split the bill with Conrad, in fact expressing shock at the total amount. We are never told how Conrad earned his wealth: inheritance from their late father seems the most plausible guess, along with possible investments, income from interest etc.

Answer: He didn't, at the party where the everything is explained, Michael Douglas is signing receipts, one after another. Sean Penn says, this is payment for this and for that.

Question: Does anyone know how much WAS the bill for The Game?

Chosen answer: Nope. It was deliberately left vague.

Question: SPOILER: How did The Game managed to get Nicholas Jump right into the giant Mattress in the end?

Chosen answer: One of the guys says, at the end, if he (Nicholas) didn't jump, it was his job to push him. It's just good luck he landed right in the correct spot - we can only assume that if he was going to jump in entirely the wrong place he would have been stopped.

Question: How does CRS simulate the gunshots when they're "shooting" at them? They're supposed to be using blanks, but how did they get the bullet holes in the building, or in the car when they're driving away?

Answer: Presumably they're doing the same thing that movies do... using devices called "squibs." They are essentially small, relatively harmless explosive devices that can be used to simulate bullet impacts.

Question: Why did Nicholas react very rudely when his assistant wished him a happy birthday?

dan coakley..

Chosen answer: Nicholas' father committed suicide on his 48th birthday, something that has haunted Nicholas ever since. Nicholas himself has now reached the same birthday, putting him in a very sour mood and in no place to receive birthday wishes cordially.

Answer: No, he admits to his ex-wife after 11:40pm that day that he didn't even realise he was the same age as when his father committed suicide until she just brought it up. I'm guessing he was annoyed because he was just a grumpy man and was resentful of celebrating his birthday due to the painful memories associated with his father.

Question: Why couldn't Nicholas get his briefcase open when he was at Ansen Bear Publishing? I understand that CRS is capable of doing pretty much anything to him including his house, phone, and car, but it seems like it would be quite difficult to change the lock on the briefcase that he is almost always carrying with him.

Chosen answer: They wouldn't have to change the lock, all they'd need to do is switch the briefcase for an identical looking one.
