Revealing mistake: When Bo has won the race and he is heading back into Hazzard County he drives past a carpark that has three General Lee's in it, one Rough Paint scheme and two with the proper paint scheme, as well as police cars.
Suggested correction: It was deliberately done as a tribute to the first episode of The Dukes of Hazzard in which a duplicate General Lee can be seen in one shot during a chase scene.
Visible crew/equipment: As Bo and Luke are surrounded by cops, Luke says "I never get tired of hearing him say that." As the camera pans around the front of the General Lee the camera is visible reflected on the front windshield.
Daisy Duke: They planted a still on our farm.
Pauline: They planted a still? Why would they have to plant a still?
Daisy Duke: 'Cause they're too damn dumb to find our real still.
Trivia: The director makes a cameo as a campus cop and reenacts the hilarious first scene of Super Troopers with the Duke boys in Atlanta.
Question: Did DaimlerChrysler re-introduce the Dodge Charger in conjunction with the film, or was their timing merely coincidental?
Answer: Given the massive hype surrounding the film, and the untold publicity it garnered the Charger, I think it's highly unlikely that it was a coincidence, more a cynical marketing strategy.
