Revealing mistake: When Bo has won the race and he is heading back into Hazzard County he drives past a carpark that has three General Lee's in it, one Rough Paint scheme and two with the proper paint scheme, as well as police cars.
Suggested correction: It was deliberately done as a tribute to the first episode of The Dukes of Hazzard in which a duplicate General Lee can be seen in one shot during a chase scene.
Continuity mistake: When Boss Hogg is at the rally, he is speaking into a microphone. Between every shot of him talking, the black microphone cord is in a different position. It is very noticeable. (01:20:50)

Trivia: Original Dukes of Hazzard stars John Schneider, Tom Wopat and Catherine Bach were offered cameos in the movie. All three refused as they hated the screenplay.
Question: Did DaimlerChrysler re-introduce the Dodge Charger in conjunction with the film, or was their timing merely coincidental?
Answer: Given the massive hype surrounding the film, and the untold publicity it garnered the Charger, I think it's highly unlikely that it was a coincidence, more a cynical marketing strategy.
