Continuity mistake: In the scene where Mitchum wrestles over a gun with Collins, she incurs a narrow run in her stockings. After cutting away for a short time, the character Agnes is fretting over a horrendous tear at her knee that has completely shred upward her left leg.
Philip Marlowe: Such a lot of guns around town and so few brains.
