Ringu 0: Bâsudei

There are two copies of Sadako: the evil spirit and the real girl. The real girl has to struggle to keep the evil spirit from breaking out, but sometimes if she is angry or upset with someone she fails and the spirit kills them. The drama school blame the real Sadako for the deaths, and beat her to death, before driving her body back to her house to try to kill the evil spirit. The spirit re-animates Sadako's body and, with her trust in humanity destroyed, she abandons her attempts to hold it back. The rampant spirit kills all of the drama school members, and then Sadako's father, seeing what has happened, throws her down the well.

Trivia: At one point in the film, a character is walking through the dressing room backstage of the theater, and you can see a "phantom hand" sticking out of the wardrobe hanging on the rack. To this day, this mysterious hand has no explanation, as there was no reason for it to be in the scene. Some like to think, given the nature of the film, the hand is of supernatural origins.
