Continuity mistake: Clearly a different guy playing Zack in the beginning as he looks to be over six feet tall and has a full head of combed back brown hair. Zack later on looks like he's only 5'5" with receding brown hair.

Fred is not behind the killings, his gay ex-cellmate, Zack is, he was convinced that the teens were coming between them both and that they were going to steal away his man. Fred is fatally knived with a blade to the neck in a fight with Zack, who then slips and falls down a lift shaft. However at the end we see he's still alive and is ready to dispose of the rest of the surviving teen partygoers via disgusing himself as a ambulance driver
