Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle

Continuity mistake: When Kumar is interviewing at Princeton, the cup is not only changing directions, but sometimes is missing and at one point it is sitting slanted on top of a pen.

Revealing mistake: As Harold and Kumar are driving through Newark they observe some guys beating up a 'lamer version of them'. Right after Harold and Kumar say "Holy Shit" we see the gang stop, pause and then start again. Watch the guy in the green beenie hat as he swings the baseball bat. He makes to hit the guy on the floor but actually stops the swing about three feet above him.

Continuity mistake: When Harold and Kumar are at the Burger Shack drive-thru, Kumar is sitting in a cloth seat in one shot, yet the Camry is seen with a leather interior throughout the rest of the movie.

Revealing mistake: When Kumar is clipping his pubes in Harold's mirror, when they go to a close up of Kumar's face and torso when he's speaking, you can see the blue shorts he's wearing for the shot. When Harold entered the room we can see Kumar from behind nude facing the mirror.

Factual error: They said that they were going to a White Castle in Cherry Hill, NJ. In reality, at the time, the White Castle was located in Pennsauken, NJ (about 10 minutes from Cherry Hill). Also, there are no cliffs anywhere near that location. The area is pretty flat.

Continuity mistake: When Kumar is talking to the dean of admissions of med school, the dean spills his coffee, on himself, and places the cup on his desk, however the cup disappears and reappears during the scene.

Continuity mistake: When Kumar holds up the imaginary envelope for Least Heterosexual, he has one hand on top and one hand on the bottom. In the next shot, his hands are side by side.

Continuity mistake: When Harold and Kumar stop, Kumar is peeing on the bush and the other man comes up in the suit and starts peeing, his tie changes positions with each shot. Sometimes it is tucked in on only one side while other times it isn't tucked behind the suit at all.

Plot hole: When Harold and Kumar are smoking on the stairs, the security guard scares them away, but he never actually saw Harold and Kumar. Later at the party, the security guard and another guy point out to them and briefly chase after them.

Continuity mistake: When Kumar gets out of the car to go pee, Harold pulls out his laptop. As he is leaning forward to pick it up, he is not wearing his glasses. He picks up the laptop with both hands and starts to open it, never having his hands have time to put on glasses but suddenly he has glasses on.

Continuity mistake: When Kumar is emerging from the bushes after peeing, the road arrow in front of their car points to the left. After Kumar enters the car and the car is shown driving away, the road arrow points to the right. (00:28:50)

Revealing mistake: When Harold is being attacked by the raccoon you can see the blood is being squirt out of the fake raccoon's mouth and not coming from Harold's neck.

Trivia: Kal Penn, who plays Kumar, is allergic to nuts. During the scene where he crashes through the ceiling at the station, a nut-based mixture was used for the dust that comes out of the heat vent. Upon entering the set that day, Penn had a severe allergic reaction, and had to be taken to a hospital. Later, a safer, nut-free concoction was used for the scene.
