Trivia: Wilfrid Brambell has a cameo role as Mr. Pullen in this film. During Brambell's appearance, you can hear the 'Steptoe & Son' theme, the TV series in which he appeared.

Trivia: Although Sid James received top billing, his part is relatively small and he doesn't actually appear until the 38th minute of the movie.

Trivia: When Jim Dale is weaving in and out of the dancers with his hands full of buffet food at the hospital party, an orchestration of "The Magic of Love" from "Carry On Spying" can be heard.

Trivia: Before shooting the scene where Dr Nookey jumps on the hammock at the Medical Mission, Jim Dale had his arm in a bandage following an accident with the trolley at the hospital. Dale made sure his arm was over his body as he leapt into the hammock in order to avoid any further damage.

Trivia: When the clarinet player says "The next dance will be a general excuse me" at the hospital party, the music the band plays is the theme tune to the film "Carry On Cabby."

Trivia: Bob Todd, who would later become a long-time regular on The Benny Hill Show, has an uncredited appearance as the patient whose stomach is blown up by the breathing apparatus during the scene where Dr Nookey tampers with the hospital fuse box.

Continuity mistake: Gladstone has a drink in Dr Nookey's office, but he doesn't pour it. It just appears in his hand.
