Continuity mistake: Jackie's luggage is in the trunk of Lester's car and the luggage stripes lie vertically in the trunk. Yet in the shot from the top of the hill, George looks down below, Lester's car is seen and the luggage stripes now lie horizontally. (01:45:45)
Continuity mistake: When George tells Jill the truth in her house, the hair at her shoulders changes repeatedly, going from tucked in her coat, to all out, to partially tucked and then out again, over and over, throughout this scene. (01:29:30)
Continuity mistake: As George walks in and finds Lester sitting on his couch, the TV is seen close to the chair and the antenna are positioned a certain way on top. When Lester raises the volume, the TV is closer to the fireplace and the antenna are positioned differently. However when Lester goes to the door to leave the TV and antenna's position are the same as in the first shot. (01:33:20 - 01:36:50)
Continuity mistake: Before Jill throws the chair through the glass doors, the pants on the floor and the bottles in the fridge differ in their positions compared to after the door shatters. (01:24:45)
Continuity mistake: Every time the refrigerator is shown at Jill's, from the first shot when George takes an apple, to the last shot when he puts toast in the toaster, the magnets on the door change positions. (00:06:20)
Audio problem: When the cleaners pull up in front of Jackie's home, we hear the audio of the two dogs barking and yelping, but the dogs are in full view and they are both lying down quietly, not moving at all. (01:41:40)
Continuity mistake: When Jill is in the restaurant with Johnny, the napkin, her utensils, etc. on the table move between the different camera angles. (00:50:15)
Continuity mistake: While George and Norman are arguing, the towel in George's right hand changes position from the side shot to the front shot. (00:19:45)
Continuity mistake: When George chases Jill, she tosses the paper bag as she gets up and runs into the hallway, but in the next shot not yet in the hallway she tosses the paper bag near the doorway. Also, when George stands up the plants are seen on the right, but later when Jill walks by, the plants are positioned differently. (00:07:20)
Continuity mistake: While Felicia (Lee Grant) is in bed talking to George (Warren Beatty), who's getting dressed, she's holding a cigarette that goes from her right hand to her left hand between shots, but she didn't switch it. (00:04:35)
Deliberate mistake: As George is speeding after Jackie on his motorcycle, in some of the shots as he rides past the camera it's apparent that it is not Warren Beatty in these shots but a stunt double, unlike other shots where it is Warren on the motorcycle. (01:42:20)
Continuity mistake: When George is goofing around in bed with Jill, in the wide shot her arms are hugging him around his neck and his right arm is under hers, but in the next close-up his right arm is around her neck and her arm is now under his. The mail on the bed differs in the two shots too. (00:07:25)
Continuity mistake: While at George's, the pillow behind Felicia keeps changing position depending on the camera angle. (00:03:45)
Continuity mistake: While George sits on his bed, as he and Jill are talking, the pillows, solid and color blankets change positions between the front and back shots. Then later, when she sits and puts her arm around him, that arm is positioned differently in the front and back shots too. (00:54:55)
Continuity mistake: When Felicia and Lester are in the dining room, in the wide shot she places the mirror down, but in the close-up the mirror's position has changed. (00:31:40)
Audio problem: When Lester (Jack Warden) comes downstairs, his daughter Lorna (Carrie Fisher) is talking on the telephone. We hear what she says, but she is not saying those words. (00:31:15)
