Revealing mistake: When the earthquake strikes, there's a shot of a tall black glass building shaking. Check the lampposts and buildings around and you'll notice that it's a very obvious film negative being distorted by just wobbling it back and forth.
Character mistake: Remy is Sam's daughter despite that they look the same age.
Suggested correction: This would be trivia at best. Characters are often older or younger than the actors portraying them. Greene being less than 8 years older than Gardner in real life isn't a mistake.
Character mistake: Near the beginning, Denise tells Stuart she has two small scenes in a movie, but then moments later tells him it is one whole scene.
Continuity mistake: When the man eating chicken falls off the balcony, curtains appear on the windows behind.
Other mistake: Outside of the office building, Stewart and Remy take shelter under a vehicle, despite falling debris crushing vehicles in their midst.
Revealing mistake: When the earthquake starts there are several shots of bell towers shaking. The first is the only one that moves, the rest are photos where neither the bells nor the trees around move, an obvious camera trick.
Visible crew/equipment: Stage lights and a boom mic or filming crane are reflected on Miles' helmet when he is about to ride on the track.
Continuity mistake: When Stewart is about to save Sam, in the wide angle Sam is lying down, both legs opened wide. In the close-up he is crouching next to the railing. This swaps back and forth.
Continuity mistake: When Stewart and Remy stare at the destroyed building, the sky behind is cloudy and dark, but when the shot focuses on them it is a bright and sunny day.
Continuity mistake: When Corry rides his bike towards the bridge it's too big for him, the seat being lower than the handlebars. A shot later the kid is way taller and the bike is tiny in comparison.
Continuity mistake: When Denise escapes from the rolling home, she trips and her jeans get covered in dust. A shot later they're clean.
Continuity mistake: Sam stretches out his right arm to save the man hanging by a girder. A shot later his left arm is stretched. Then a shot later his right arm is extended.
Revealing mistake: When the California Seismological Institute collapses, the old boss is replaced by a much younger stunt. Also, his sleeves swap between rolled up or not and his tie disappears.
Continuity mistake: A huge chunk of ceiling falls right next to the drunk guy, but the very next shot of him shows not an inch of dust around and the exact lighting as he had before the mess.
Continuity mistake: During the quake, Corry is riding his bike on the bridge and loses his balance, then rests his left hand on the bridge. A shot later it's holding the handlebar.
Continuity mistake: During the fight at the bar, the bald man is lying against the wall, with a man on top of him. Immediately after, barely half a second later, their positions are totally different: the bald man is away from the wall and on top of the other man plus the surrounding people have changed places and pool cues have appeared out of nowhere.
Continuity mistake: After Adams talks to the farmer, his aide is inside the trench, walking right next to the wooden ladder. A shot later he is four meters away from the ladder.
Revealing mistake: When Stewart climbs up the rope to save Sam, in the wide angles he is replaced by an obvious stunt: younger and with different haircut.
Revealing mistake: When the car chase comes to an end, check the curb where the cars drive over: a small ramp has been placed to allow for the stunts.
Continuity mistake: During the earthquake at the bar, a man in a yellow shirt crashes against the jukebox. A second later he is next to the pool table.
