Edtv

Continuity mistake: When Ed and Sherry get back together, you see a few shots of Rita, Sherry's roommate, watching them on TV and she's wearing a red top. Then about two minutes later, when Ed starts the contest you see another shot of her but she's now wearing different clothes, green dungarees and a grey jacket. Then later on just before Edtv is cut off, she's wearing different clothes again. Why would she change three times in one day? (01:43:05 - 01:47:15)

Continuity mistake: When Ed sees Sherri outside the video store he drops a big pile of videos, but there's no sound of them hitting the floor. Then when he is about to open the door they've disappeared. (01:39:05)

Factual error: Ed is working as a video store clerk, and yet he lives alone in a one-bedroom apartment in San Francisco. No, he doesn't. Rent for a place of that size, in that neighbourhood, even if he got the place in the '80s, would have been more than the entire monthly paycheck for a video store clerk (even a well-paid one).

Continuity mistake: After Ed's real father dies and he arrives at the hospital, his mother is coming down the hallway wearing high-heeled shoes. After she gives Ed a hug she has flat shoes on. (01:30:30)

Continuity mistake: Ed's feet change position between shots when he is sitting in the bathroom on the hamper and talking to Cynthia. The hamper also changes position in the overhead shot. (01:14:20)

Continuity mistake: When Ed and his family are discussing whether or not to do the show, the cap on the 2 liter bottle of Mountain Dew appears and disappears between shots. (00:13:30)

Bill Maher: Okay, since we have Ray Pekurny on the panel today, we thought we'd talk to him about his book. It is called "My Brother Pissed On Me." Is that a metaphorical title or did he really piss on you?
Ray Pekurny: I put it - I put it in the book.
Bill Maher: Okay, then. Well, I'll be honest, I haven't read it, because, frankly, it sounds kind of stupid.
