Other mistake: Matrix enters his house through a door on the penthouse and a dead soldier by the edge collapses. His feet and legs should be blocking the door and the entrance, but instead, from the angle inside, it swings freely. (00:13:20)

Other mistake: When Arnie enters the plane's cargo hold at the start of the film, he is confronted with a black dog in a cage barking at him. As he slides past the dog it seems to pay no attention to Arnie, but seems to be more interested in barking at someone else who is out of shot. Trainer perhaps? (00:22:30)
Other mistake: At the mall when Sully first sees Matrix, he grabs at Cindy's handbag wanting a quarter. It's amazing that Cindy first would have a quarter just laying around in there, but it's also amazing how quick he finds it without looking! What if he got to the phone and it was a nickel? He never even looks at it! (00:35:45)
Other mistake: When Cindy asks 'What did you do with Sully?', surely she must have known he'd been dropped off the cliff as she was standing about five metres away? (00:40:00)

Other mistake: When Matrix is rowing the raft towards the shores, if you look behind him, he is clearly rowing the raft towards open sea, with no island in sight. (01:06:13)
Other mistake: Bennett grabs the furnace door but doesn't get burned. (01:18:30)
Other mistake: At the end when Matrix gets into the sea plane the the landing gear is down - the landing gear is for ground landing only. Also shown earlier in the film before Matrix starts his assault.

Answer: Director Mark Lester replaced Wings Hauser the first day of shooting because he didn't think Hauser clicked as a maniacal counterbalance to Schwarzenegger's larger-than-life portrayal of Matrix. Last-minute cast changes are not unusual when an actor fails to meet certain character expectations. A classic example is Michael J. Fox replacing Eric Stoltz in Back to the Future because Stoltz portrayed Marty too intensely for a humorous sci-fi film. Viggo Mortensen replaced Stuart Townsend as Aragorn in Lord of the Rings because Peter Jackson felt Townsend wasn't properly preparing for the role.

Also, Peter Jackson thought that Stuart Townsend was too young to play Aragorn.
