The Santa Clause 2

Trivia: When the real Santa and the fake Santa are fighting on the sleigh when the fake Santa is heading out to deliver coal to all the children, the fake Santa says something like 'You are a strange little man.' Buzz Lightyear (voiced by Tim Allen) in the movie Toy Story said the same thing to Woody.

Trivia: In the part of the movie where the elves are battling the toy soldiers, there's a shot where the chef elf kicks at one of them and her shoe flies off. (01:27:55)

Trivia: Lucy was played by Liliana Mumy, who is the daughter of Bill Mumy who was in the 1960s TV show "Lost In Space." In the kid-friendly commentary, this is referred to but not directly stated; the filmmakers merely remark on the resemblance.

Trivia: The robot Santa story came about so that Tim Allen would not have to spend as much time in the Santa makeup for the sequel, due to having a miserable experience wearing it in the first film.

Other mistake: The little girl elf pours Santa a mug of hot chocolate, but if you watch closely there is nothing in the mug when he drinks it.

Question: At the meeting, what did Mother Nature mean when she said "Don't mess with me Santa. I'm pre-el niño." or something like that. What does pre-el niño mean and why did she think Santa was messing with her?

Answer: By "pre-El Niño", she meant what to a mortal woman would be pre-menstrual. El Niño is "an oscillation of the ocean-atmosphere system in the tropical Pacific having important consequences for weather around the globe. Among these consequences are increased rainfall across the southern tier of the US and in Peru, which has caused destructive flooding, and drought in the West Pacific, sometimes associated with devastating brush fires in Australia."

Jeff Swanson

So she was saying she's PMSing?

Yep, that's exactly what she's saying.

Answer: "El Niño" means "the child" so she probably meant to say "don't mess with me, I've been here since Jesus".

El Niño in the context of the line is referring to the weather event in the Pacific Ocean.
