Child's Play 3 (1991)
Plot summary
Directed by: Jack Bender
Starring: Brad Dourif, Justin Whalin, Jeremy Sylvers, Perrey Reeves, Travis Fine
It's been eight years since the events in the second film, we now see that Andy (Whalin) is a teenager who has been enrolled in a military school. Play Pals Toy Company decides to re-release its Good Guys line, feeling that after all this time, the bad publicity has died down. As they re-used old materials, the spirit of Charles Lee Ray once again comes to life. In his search for Andy, Chucky (voiced by Brad Dourif)falls into the hands of a younger boy called Tyler (Sylvers), and he realizes that it may be easier to transfer his soul into this unsuspecting child. Andy is the only one who knows what Chucky is up to, and it's now up to him to put a stop to it.
Chucky: Don't fuck with the Chuck.
Trivia: The film was announced, written, shot, edited and released less than nine months after the release of "Child's Play 2." The studio was worried about the series not lasting, and wanted to rush out a third movie as quick as possible to cash in on the success of the original. Series creator and lead writer Don Mancini (who wrote or co-wrote every single film and directed entries 5-7) has said "Child's Play 3" is his least favorite of the series, as he felt it was pushed out too quickly, and he didn't have the time to write a script he found satisfactory.
Question: When Chucky is loading the guns with real ammo instead of paint, why would a military school store or even use live rounds?
Answer: They would have live rounds for use on the ranges. The real issue is that they'd also have it drummed into them to personally check the ammo of any weapon handed to them so the shooting should never have happened.

Answer: Military schools usually have gun ranges, so they would have live ammunition for that.
