When a renegade Kylothian monster disguised as a lingerie model (Lara Flynn Boyle) threatens the survival of the human race, the boys of the MIB get the call to step up and get busy. Agent Jay (Will Smith) and Agent Kay (Tommy Lee Jones) enlist the help of Frank the Pug to help them kick some seriously sexy alien butt!
Deliberate mistake: When MIB agents exit the lift to get into the main hall of the MIB Office, the lift opens halfway up the wall and they need to go down a little platform. But when K and J return during the lockdown and face the trashcan with guns, the lift opens at floor level, so it can be conveniently peppered with bullets. (01:02:05)
Suggested correction: The building is in lockdown so it is no surprise that the lift is changed to a less flamboyant version. Even in the first scene, there are some doors there.
Agent Jay: Could I have your attention, please? [Neuralyzes the crowd.] Thank you for participating in our drill. Had this been an actual emergency, y'all would have been *eaten*. 'Cause you don't listen! You're ignorant! How's a man gonna come crashin' through the back of a subway win - that's the problem with all y'all New Yorkers!"Oh no, we've seen it all!" "Oh no, a 600 foot worm, save us Mr. Black man!" I ask you nicely to move forward to the next car, y'all just sit there like... [Neuralyzes the crowd again.] The City of New York would like to thank you for participating in our drill. Hopefully you enjoyed our smaller, more energy-efficient subway cars. Trivia: The first alien in the mail room that Will Smith starts to talk to in alien language is a rapper known in real life as Biz Markie. He is really making those noises with his mouth. (00:28:35)
Question: I never really got the line "it came with a black dude, but he kept getting pulled over". What was so funny?
Chosen answer: It's referring to the innate racial prejudice some people have - an inflatable black guy driving a nice car got pulled over, whereas an inflatable white guy had no problems.
