Continuity mistake: When the nurse is wrapping a tensor bandage (also known as an Ace bandage) around Kinderman's hand and wrist, the way the bandage is wrapped changes between shots.

Continuity mistake: When Kinderman connects the murder victims to the case in the first movie, he says that the African American kid was the son of the the woman that figured out Regan was speaking backward English. Only when you watch the first movie, the person that figures out what she's speaking is a man that is Caucasian.

Patient X: I still hear from her occasionally, screaming. I think the dead should shut up, unless there's something to say.

Trivia: At one point, the Gemini Killer says the line "it's child's play," and the film cuts to a little red-haired kid. This is a cute little in-joke, as the Gemini Killer is played by Brad Dourif, who voices the killer-doll Chucky (a doll with red hair) in the "Child's Play" horror movie series.
