Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood

Continuity mistake: When Tina uses her psychic power to hang Jason, the size of the hole he falls through changes between shots.

Continuity mistake: When Michael goes to the bathroom in the woods, Jane is standing next to the road. In the reverse shot, she is standing next to a tree.

Continuity mistake: When Tina battles with Jason, the height of the basement roof drastically differs.

Continuity mistake: When Tina throws the plant at Jason it hits him in the chest. The next shot shows it hit him in the head.

Revealing mistake: Obvious stunt double for Tina as she drops the porch roof on Jason and when Jason grabs her and throws her onto the dock. Her hair becomes a smooth blonde wig.

Continuity mistake: The tent that Judy and her boyfriend are camping in changes size between shots.

Continuity mistake: Jason has on an entirely different outfit in this movie than in part 6. Since he was chained in the lake there would be no reason for his clothes to be different.

Plot hole: In part 6, Jason kills numerous people as well as the entire sheriff's department (minus 1) yet investigators just leave his body in the lake and not recover it? Very unlikely.

Continuity mistake: In the prologue with the narration, you see the scene from six where lightning struck the pole to revive Jason. You also see Jason's tombstone shattering during the lightning strike. In six, you never saw the tombstone breaking.

Continuity mistake: As Tina is speeding away in the car after finding out that Crews wants her committed, she passes by a car that is supposedly the one belonging to Michael and his girlfriend. It is facing in the same direction as she is. If they were coming up to the place for the party, wouldn't their car be facing in the opposite direction, and on the opposite side of the road, which is where we saw it stop earlier in the film?

Continuity mistake: When Amanda Shepard's watching the video of Dr. Crews forcing Tina to move the matchbook, on the left side of the screen, there are two plaques on the wall two inches apart from each other, but in the next shot as Dr. Crews enters the room, the plaques are now four inches apart.

Factual error: When Tina and Jason are in the basement, she sprays gasoline at him. It's clear like water. Considering it's covered in cobwebs, it's been there a long time and would be dark in color, because it gets darker as it ages.

Continuity mistake: The scene where the AA couple is having sex in the van, the guy suddenly has shoes on when he exits looking for Jason. You see him supposedly putting on his pants under the covers, but no shoes.

Upvote valid corrections to help move entries into the corrections section.

Suggested correction: We don't see everything he does under the covers. Plus it cuts to the outside and showing him exit the van, but we are not given a time frame of how long he was in the van before he exit's it.

Revealing mistake: When we see the shot of David's head, you can definitely tell it's a prop head.

Continuity mistake: When Jane is killed, blood comes out of her mouth. Yet there is no blood when Michael sees her pinned to the tree.

Continuity mistake: The video monitor and VCR on Dr. Crews' desk disappear as Tina looks at the picture of her father. Additionally, there is a model train on the desk in some scenes, but not in others.

Ben: Happy fuckin' Birthday.

Trivia: During his four-movie tenure portraying Jason, Kane Hodder actually put a lot of thought into the character, and developed what he thought Jason's personality would be in order to give himself motivation for the role. Hodder also created a strict set of rules that he would follow while playing Jason. For example, Hodder felt Jason would never hurt animals, since he had a childlike mind and wouldn't want to harm a creature he saw as inherently innocent. And more importantly, Hodder insisted that while he played the character, Jason would not harm or go after children, since he "drowned" as a child and recognizes them as being innocent like he was. While the rules do somewhat contradict earlier films, Hodder stuck by his guns.

Question: Why wasn't Jason recovered after Tommy drowned him at the end of part 6?

Answer: Jason was dead at the end of Part 6, the girl used her E.S.P. powers to bring him back to life.

Answer: Any answer is pure speculation, but my personal theory is that people just decided to turn their heads and look the other way. It seemed like Jason was finally dead at the end of part six, so authorities just decided to leave him where he was to rot. At least that's my theory.
