Continuity mistake: In the locker room scene, Remer and Joe are both naked. When Remer goes to pull Squeak out the drawer, you see him put a robe on, but you also see him wearing underwear. It wouldn't be possible to put on underwear in about 1/2 a second.

Continuity mistake: When Coop and Remer psyche out Ted together at the beginning of the film, Coop suddenly has a camera with him that was not there before. Also when Coop is taking Ted's picture, he does not have a beer can in his hand, but two seconds later when he is giving Ted the photo, the beer can has magically reappeared.

Continuity mistake: During the first half of the final Denslow Cup, when the kids are watching it on television, there is an alphabet behind them, and at one shot, the alphabet contains all 26 letters, and when it cuts to them again, one of the letters is missing.

Continuity mistake: Several of the players on the Beers' bench appear on the benches of several teams throughout the film. Overuse of extras perhaps?

David Mercier

Continuity mistake: In the scene at the beginning where all the shots of the different Pro sports, they show a shot of a hockey goalie stopping a human head. If you pay attention, the goal isn't even on the right line on the ice, it seems to be on the center (red) line.

Continuity mistake: After Coop has missed the third home run, he goes to the hospital with Remer and Squeak to see Joey. When he runs into the Post-op ward and sees Joey lying in bed, a bit of his fringe, in the running, has been swept up onto his head. But immediately in the next shot of him, when it goes to a close up of his face as the nurse says "He keep screaming 'Choke, Choke'.", the bit is no longer swept back, but is hanging neatly.

Continuity mistake: When they show Squeak his bed, you can plainly see the blinds on the window he opens, the blinds are level with his forehead, but when he opens the window the blinds are a foot above his head. (00:15:10 - 00:21:35)

Factual error: The very last thing we see before the camera fades to the credits is a waving American Flag. You will notice that the flag is that of the 48 states, not the 50. The stars printed are not in the correct sequence.

Continuity mistake: Just after the Beers have lost a game due to Coop being psyched out, Squeek walks over to a trough to pee. He is in his uniform. Just after that, he walks up to a news reporter where he can be seen wearing a blue robe.

Visible crew/equipment: Coop and Remer are shooting hoops at Brittany's party early on. After a few shots, the one after Coop says, "Not total losers", look next to Coop on the left side of the screen and you can get a brief glimpse of a man in a red hat and jeans coming to retrieve the ball. He can be seen each time, but it's most revealing the first time.

Nancy Burger

Audio problem: In the scene after Brittany's party, Coop and Remer are playing BASEketball in their driveway. As Squeak walks up, Coop shoots and Remer says "Miss it. Steve Perry, Steve Perry." If you look at Remer's face, his mouth is not moving while this is said.

Continuity mistake: When Coop and Remer are at Brittany's party and they talk to Steph, you can see Skidmark Steve directly behind Steph in front of the Bon Voyage poster. But when they leave, Skidmark Steve is not standing where he was before. (00:05:45)

Factual error: The dash and stereo of Joe Coopers car and the taxi at the end of the movie are identical even though they are two completely different cars (VW Bug and a Chevrolet Caprice).

Factual error: When Reggie Jackson hit his 3rd homerun in the World Series, it was hit into Yankee Stadium's 'black seats' where there is no admittance, thus Coop could not have caught the ball. And there would certainly not be a big crowd of people up there, as depicted in the movie.

Continuity mistake: When Coop is making his first basketball, he hands it to Remer, leaving Remer to spin the ball around to see La-Z-boy printed on the back. However, we can see the other side is blank.

Revealing mistake: During the Unsolved Mysteries scene, a man is about to play solitaire. Look at the screen, though. It's already dragging cards around.

Low Cow

Narrator: Soon it was commonplace for entire teams to change cities in search of greater profits. The Minneapolis Lakers moved to Los Angeles where there are no lakes. The Oilers moved to Tennessee where there is no oil. The Jazz moved to Salt Lake City where they don't allow music. The Raiders moved from Oakland to LA back to Oakland. No-one in LA seemed to notice.

Trivia: Where Coop is taunting the fat guy in the last match, the voice he puts on bears a striking resemblance to that of Eric Cartman, a character Trey Parker (Coop) voices in the comedy he and Matt Stone (Reemer) created called South Park. Also, in the locker room, where he (sarcastically) says how Doug Reemer "really cares about kids", the voice he puts on is that of Mr. Garisson, the teacher at South Park Elementary (also voiced by Parker).

Question: When the player is saying "...I'm proud to finally play here in the fine city of Miami", who is the guy who stands up and corrects him? He looks really familiar but it isn't an important enough role to show up anywhere as far as I can tell.

Gary O'Reilly

Chosen answer: He's been a non-essential extra in a lot of films, but in a supporting role he is the the leader of the "3 sisters" group of male rapists in the Shawshank Redemption.
