The Little Rascals

Audio problem: At the talent show, where Waldo does his duet with Darla, you can tell he's lip synching. Sometimes he mouthes the words too late or too early. And in shots where he has his head up, his Adam's apple isn't moving, a sure sign no noise is coming out of him.

Suggested correction: It is likely he was not singing live, but the reasoning for saying it is obvious doesn't quite work considering two details. The first being that Blake Ewing was Broadway and choir trained for singing where he was taught to sing "big" so to say which involves a large amount of mouth movement making it look like he's singing when he's not. This can be seen in other footage of him singing as a child. He is also a kid so his Adams apple is tough to make out movement wise. Especially with his collar.

Other mistake: When Alfalfa takes some flowers to Darla, Waldo (the rich boy) turns up and Darla's friends comment on the rich kid. As one girl is saying her line, 'He's smoother than a baby's bottom' you can see the girl next to her mouthing the same line.

More trivia for The Little Rascals

Answer: Because MGM owned the rights to the "Our Gang" trademark, when the early films were re-released and new series started, the name was switched to "The Little Rascals" (for example, the 1982 cartoon) and that's what most people know them by. After that, it gets tricky with which companies own which rights, and King World Productions has some of "The Little Rascals" distribution rights.
