Continuity mistake: In the scene where Veronica comes to Billy's house, tosses him in the pool and starts beating him up, watch the people on the side of the pool. First, the chubby guy and Frank are sitting in lounge chairs and you see a third person's legs on one of the chairs. Then the next time they cut to them, the third set of legs is gone, and Frank is lying on the chair where the legs were. When they cut back again, Frank is back in the first chair and there is no third pair of legs.

Suggested correction: Almost nothing in the entry is true. Jack (the "chubby guy") is never in a lawn chair, he's on the ground. Frank isn't sitting on the lawn chair, he's lying on it. The "third person" is passed out on the ground, his legs aren't on a chair. And the passed out guy remains in the same position, just sometimes he's off camera due to the close shots of Frank and Jack. Frank stays lying on the same chair he was always on.

Revealing mistake: When the car is falling off the cliff you can clearly see that there is 1 person in the car, it's not packed with the whole family like before.

Suggested correction: There's not actually any people in the car when it goes off the cliff. But the car is packed with multiple dummies to simulate the entire family.

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Billy is getting drunk again, he opens a can of Budweiser, takes a swig, and drops it to the floor. But when it hits the floor it makes the sound of a empty can.

Continuity mistake: In the scene where he has to write in cursive the words change shape as though they wrote it a few times making the scene. It's around the time he is throwing the fit.

Continuity mistake: During the scene where Billy, Miss Vaughn and the students are doing the singing number, the sky changes from mid-day sun, afternoon sun, to overcast when you see the clown lying on the ground back to late afternoon sun.

Continuity mistake: At the opening of the film when Billy is in the pool, after he puts the suntan lotion on and realises that it is nudey magazine day, he begins to wade out of the pool. In the side on shot he is holding a wineglass, but a split second later the wineglass has vanished.

Continuity mistake: When Billy and the people who work at the mansion are playing kickball, after he runs to second base, the sign in the background says something about Billy's team always winning. But when the camera cuts to the 2 nurses on first base the sign is in mid-stroke of changing into something entirely different. And the camera change is too quick for it to have done that automatically.

Character mistake: When Billy comes back from high school to visit his 3rd grade class, Ms. Vaughn is teaching prime numbers. The board reads "1, 3, 5, 7, 11" with the words "prime numbers" below it. "1" is not a prime number and it is written on the board, and "2" is a prime number and it is not written on the board.

Continuity mistake: During the singing number where Billy decides to go back to school, Billy, Veronica, the kids, and the clown are on the front lawn. Billy is standing on Veronica's left. However, in a wide shot when they start "Do you have any more gum?" Billy is on Veronica's right.

Continuity mistake: At the party after the piƱata is broken the amount of candies on the floor changes between shots.

Trivia: Something to look for: In the scene where Billy calls the people to apologise, that guy crosses his name off the "people to kill list." If you look at the top of the list, the name Bob Simonds is there. Bob Simonds is the producer of the movie.
