Continuity mistake: When Travolta is in the back of the Sno-Mobile truck with the kid, it shows them from the front looking out at the snow falling, and the kid crosses his arms. Then, it switches to a shot from behind and the kid suddenly has his arms at his sides, and crosses them again.

Factual error: This movie is supposed to be set in the 80's as it says in the beginning of the movie, however, during many shots where the street is visible from the news broadcast center or the scene with John Travolta in the street, there are many cars which were not around. One of these cars, for example is a 2000 Dodge Intrepid.
Dale: Unfortunately Russell we have a new wrinkle in the situation.
Russ: Oh really? What's the wrinkle?
Dale: Basically I had to play pinata with Jerry the bookie's skull. See, that sort of ups the invoice a little.
Russ: Is he okay?
Dale: No, he's dead.
