Mrs. Doubtfire

Other mistake: At the start of the film we see Gloria Chaney, the Hillards' neighbour, drop a rabbit at her feet and then shout 'shoo' at it whilst pushing it with a brush. If she had it in her hands, why didn't she just drop it outside of her garden, instead of at her feet, making her have to push it to get it out of her garden? (00:05:30)

Other mistake: When Chris sees Mrs. Doubtfire in the bathroom she is standing up and peeing, in costume. All the scenes where Daniel is putting the costume on shows that the fat suit is a body suit, in one piece, and there's no opening in the front. So he shouldn't have been able to pee without taking off the whole suit. (01:04:00)

Suggested correction: Perhaps it can be assumed that he made the necessary alteration (cutting a slit in the bodysuit) before he started to wear it.

KeyZOid

He is shown multiple times putting it on. No slit.

Other mistake: The newspaper article Daniel reads (to pick the name Doubtfire) does not have a date on it.

Other mistake: In the Bridges restaurant scene when Mrs. Doubtfire enters the ladies room stall to change into Daniel, you hear a loud rip and Mrs. Doubtfire screams "damnit!" - however, when we see Daniel and Mrs. Doubtfire throughout the rest of the restaurant scene, neither of their clothes are ripped anywhere.

Revealing mistake: When the Hillards are at the pool, we see Stu, with his hairy chest, on the diving board. When the shot zooms out, we see a guy with no hair on his chest, who is obviously the stunt double. (01:15:00)

Mrs. Doubtfire: I hope you don't mind me being a tad rude, but... How was he? You know, on a scale of 1 to 10?
Miranda: Well, that part was always... Okay.
Mrs. Doubtfire: Just okay? Well, he was probably a Casanova compared to poor old Winston.
Miranda: What was the matter with Winston?
Mrs. Doubtfire: Oh dear, Winston's idea of foreplay was "Effie, brace yourself."

Trivia: Adding to the 'carpe dentum' contribution, if you look at Pierce Brosnan when Mrs Doubtfire gets up from the table, he is moments away from bursting out laughing. According to the commentary track on the dvd, it was this reference to Dead Poets Society that tickled Brosnan but he managed to keep a straight face and so they didn't need to reshoot.

Answer: To get rid of the smell of alcohol, although it's pretty obvious Mrs Doubtfire is drunk anyway.
