Continuity mistake: When Yugi, Joey and Tristan are looking up at the giant eye above them, whilst Tristan is asking, "So, any idea what we're up against?", the three are standing beside each other at perpendicular angles. In the next shot, the three are side by side. (00:49:32)
Continuity mistake: When Yugi's life points go down to 1500 after Magician's Valkyria is destroyed by Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon, he lowers his left forearm. When the shot cuts, his left forearm is raised. His right forearm also changes to a different angle when the shot cuts. (00:48:50)
Continuity mistake: When Tea, Solomon and Mokuba are standing outside the Pyramid of Light, in the shot of Mokuba saying "Wait, rewind a sec," the three are standing next to each other. When the shot cuts, Mokuba is standing further from the other two. (00:46:25)
Continuity mistake: When Yugi is walking down a hallway just before he sees the Pharaoh, the wall to his right has no door on it. But in the next shot, a door has suddenly appeared on the wall. (00:44:22)
Continuity mistake: After Kaiba has activated Card of Demise, he draws five cards from his deck. In the close-up of his hand, his index finger appears to be positioned along the corner of the White Dragon Ritual card. When the shot cuts, his index finger is away from the corner of the card. Continuity mistake: Kaiba summons Des Feral Imp by placing the card on the duel disk with his right hand. There are no other cards in his right hand when this happens, but in the next shot, the Card of Demise spell card is suddenly seen in his right hand, which he then activates. (00:43:18)
Continuity mistake: When Kaiba summons his second Peten the Dark Clown, the clown takes its hat off and waves it to Yugi. Continuity mistake: When Kaiba activates the effect of Dark Destruction Virus for the first time, Yugi begins to lose ten cards from his deck. Continuity mistake: When Magician's Valkyria destroys Peten the Dark Clown, the life point count on Kaiba's duel disk goes from 3,400 down to 2,300. In the next shot, the life point count is suddenly 3,400 again. (00:42:17)
Continuity mistake: When Kaiba is telling Yugi, "Now is a good time to start praying for mercy," his hands are at his side. Then the shot cuts to a closer shot of Kaiba, where his left hand is raised so that he can look at his cards. (00:41:23)
Continuity mistake: When Joey and Tristan hear Yugi shout for the Pharaoh, as Tristan is asking, "You hear that?", the two are standing next to each other. The shot cuts to a different angle, and the two are suddenly further apart. (00:41:03)
Continuity mistake: When Joey and Tristan stand up after awakening in the Millennium Puzzle, there is a wall on their right. When it cuts to a wide shot, the wall to their right has changed colour, and a door has appeared on it. (00:40:37)
Continuity mistake: When Yugi is first seen inside the Millennium Puzzle, the wide shot shows several meters of empty space around him before reaching the stairs. Around 25 seconds later, in a wide shot, the walls surrounding him are much narrower, with the stairs closer to him. (00:39:55 - 00:40:22)
Continuity mistake: After Tea and Solomon have seen the beam going up into the sky, the scene cuts to Yugi looking at the Millennium Puzzle. In the close-up shot, the puzzle is lifted at an upward angle with the front side facing towards him. When the shot cuts, the front side is facing away from him and is held at an upright angle. Continuity mistake: When the Pyramid of Light starts sucking Joey and Tristan into it, the two try to hold onto the handrail. In the first shot of them getting pulled towards it, Tristan has his right hand placed on top of the handrail, but in a closer shot, his fingers can be seen underneath the bottom side of the rail with his hand now grasping onto it. Continuity mistake: After Yugi has been sucked into the Millennium Puzzle, Tristan says, "Aw man, not more freaky magic," while he and Joey are standing behind a handrail. At this moment, the two are standing mostly upright while leaning a few inches forward. In the next shot, they are leaning much more forward. (00:38:37)
Continuity mistake: After the Pyramid of Light appears on the field, Yugi feels pain inside of him. When this happens, the Millennium Puzzle that he (and the Pharaoh) is wearing is missing the hole on the front side of the puzzle. Then there is a close-up of the Millennium Puzzle where the hole has suddenly appeared. Then in the shot after that, the hole has disappeared again. (00:38:26)
Continuity mistake: When Yugi summons Obelisk the Tormentor and the Winged Dragon of Ra to the field, just after he places the Winged Dragon of Ra card on his duel disk, his hand appears to be at an angle where it is aligned with his body. In the next shot, his hand is rotated away from his body. (00:36:28)
Continuity mistake: When Kaiba draws the Pyramid and Light trap card from his deck, in the shot of him drawing the card and raising it towards him, the finger he has placed against the back of the card appears to be near the bottom of the card. When it cuts to a close-up of the card, his finger is further up the back side of the card. (00:34:59)
