Plot hole: Jordan doesn't complete the course in under 12 minutes, yet master chief states she gets the standard 30 second deduction. But that still doesn't put her under the time limit.
G.I. Jane (1997)
1 plot hole - chronological order
Directed by: Ridley Scott
Starring: Viggo Mortensen, Demi Moore, Anne Bancroft, Jason Beghe
Revealing mistake: Towards the end of the film, a Cobra helicopter is flying in to assist with the extraction of the Navy Seals. There is a three-quarter frontal shot of the helicopter, one bank of rocket tubes can be seen to be empty; a few moments later, it's firing rockets from banks on both sides.
Lt. Blondell: Lieutenant, why are you doing this?
Lt. Jordan O'Neil: Do you ask the men the same question?
Lt. Blondell: As a matter of fact: yes, I do ask them.
Lt. Jordan O'Neil: And what do they say?
Lt. Blondell: "Cause I get to blow shit up."
Lt. Jordan O'Neil: Well, there you go.
Trivia: Throughout the film, Master Chief John James Urgayle, played by Viggo Mortensen, reads and quotes poetry. In real life, Viggo is very fond of poetry; in addition to being an accomplished poet, skilled actor, artist, painter, and horseback rider, he published a book of his own poems entitled 'Ten Last Night' before he became well known.
