Revealing mistake: Towards the end of the film, a Cobra helicopter is flying in to assist with the extraction of the Navy Seals. There is a three-quarter frontal shot of the helicopter, one bank of rocket tubes can be seen to be empty; a few moments later, it's firing rockets from banks on both sides.

G.I. Jane (1997)
1 revealing mistake - chronological order
Directed by: Ridley Scott
Starring: Viggo Mortensen, Demi Moore, Anne Bancroft, Jason Beghe
Continuity mistake: Just before Demi Moore is about to get her head shaved she sees the base commander about equal treatment, and we notice very visibly that O'Neil has one side of her face bruised and all red and swollen. But in the next scene, which takes place moments later, when O'Neil is shaving her head, her injuries are all gone. Where did they all go to?
Lt. Blondell: Lieutenant, why are you doing this?
Lt. Jordan O'Neil: Do you ask the men the same question?
Lt. Blondell: As a matter of fact: yes, I do ask them.
Lt. Jordan O'Neil: And what do they say?
Lt. Blondell: "Cause I get to blow shit up."
Lt. Jordan O'Neil: Well, there you go.
Trivia: A G.I. historically refers to an enlisted member of the US Army (and Air Force during the 2nd World War). Lt. O'Neill is in the Navy, where the term doesn't apply. Additionally, she is an officer, so even if she was in the Army she STILL wouldn't be a G.I. Though to be fair, Lt. (Navy) Jane doesn't have exactly the same ring to it.
