Continuity mistake: Reggie and Mike are sitting by the fireplace downstairs and they decide to get out of town. Next to Reggie is a coffee mug resting on the stone ledge of the fireplace. Mike goes upstairs and is pulled through a mirror. Reggie hears the glass breaking and runs upstairs, and now the coffee mug is gone. Reggie then runs back downstairs to grab a shotgun and now his coffee mug has reappeared but is now on opposite side of the fireplace. (00:01:55)
Continuity mistake: When Reg hears Mike in trouble upstairs, he puts down his guitar and runs upstairs. The rocking chair which was next to Reg has now gone in this shot, the rack of utensils by the fireplace (poker, shovel etc.) has switched which side of the fireplace it is on, and the logs by the fireplace have changed completely. Continuity mistake: The damage done to the framing around the wardrobe has vanished, when Reg gets upstairs and sees the dwarf dragging Mike out of the wardrobe. (00:03:15)
Continuity mistake: In the film the guitar is missing by the fire place. But when Reggie returns to get the shotgun and turn on the gas in the house, magically the guitar is now back by the fireplace. (00:03:25)
Continuity mistake: At the beginning, Reggie goes to get his shotgun but it has disappeared. However, when he is surrounded by the large army of Dwarfs and he looks at the fireplace, the shotgun is there. (00:03:40)
Suggested correction: He has the rifle in his hand and drops it when he sees the little monsters after he turn. Around in the kitchen is looking for bullets when he is at the fireplace there are 3 rifles in gun rack he grabs one of them.
Continuity mistake: When Reg and Mike jump out of the bedroom window to escape from the dwarfs, in a wide-shot the white window framing on the sides of the window is broken off. But in a closeup of the dwarfs looking out of the window, the white wooden framing has reappeared on the sides of the window. (00:06:25)
Continuity mistake: In the film the Tall man pulls right up front to Mike's house and opens the back of the hearse and pulls out a coffin. The hearse is parked in front of Mike's house on the road. As the house explodes, the scene then cuts to a wide shot of the house exploding (still shot from the front of the house) and the hearse isn't anywhere on the street. It finally goes back to the Tall man walking to the hearse and pushing the coffin back into the hearse. (00:06:35)
Continuity mistake: When Reg and Mike break into the hardware store for tools, Mike puts two torches on the shop of the trolley, and they are side by side, but in the next shot they are spread apart, either corner of the trolley front. (00:13:55)
Continuity mistake: When Reg and Mike break into the hardware store for tools, the items in the trolley keep on changing from shot to shot, and also change position too. (00:14:10)
Revealing mistake: When Chemy is dead on the table, and Mike goes over for a closer look, she isn't dead because you can see her breathing very carefully - her chest is lightly rising. (00:21:45)
Revealing mistake: The grandfather in the coffin can be visibly breathing and blinking in some shots, especially in the scene where the Priest penetrates him with a knife. (00:30:20)
Continuity mistake: When the priest is sitting in his home looking very nervous he pours himself a drink, takes a sip, then starts hearing scratching noises at the door, and the next shot shows that this door is locked with a chain lock. He then says, "Bless me mother," gets up and slowly approaches the door, but it is now shown unlocked, before he locks the door with the chain lock. (00:33:15)
Continuity mistake: When the Priest keeps hearing the banging noises at the door, he walks over and locks the door. He then goes back to his desk, pours a drink and his bottle of Jack Daniels changes between shots. (00:34:10)
Continuity mistake: When Liz's grandmother leans across to check her small bedside clock, her glasses on the desk change from laying lenses down, lenses up, back and forth, etc. (00:35:25)
Continuity mistake: When Liz discovers that her grandmother has been kidnapped, a pair of glasses and several other items on the bedside table change position or disappear completely between shots. (00:40:10)
Revealing mistake: In the mausoleum where the priest is killed, when the woman is thrown back she is too obviously on a wire. She goes up at an angle, bounces off the wall still flies up for a second. If you look very closely, you can actually see the harness stings briefly. (00:53:30)
Visible crew/equipment: When Mike pushes Liz out of the way of the sphere, you can see a wire on the sphere as it passes, making it 'fly.' (01:12:45)
Revealing mistake: When Liz hits the marble mausoleum wall, it wobbles like a cheap set wall. (01:12:45)
Visible crew/equipment: As Liz and Mike struggle with one of the crematory henchman, on the floor you can see two white tape marks which are not there in any other shot. (01:12:55)
Visible crew/equipment: When the Tall Man's sphere lands on one of the henchman's hands, pinning it against the door, the long thin black wire which guided it to his hand is visible attached to the sphere. (01:13:05)
