Monstrous

Factual error: The typists were moving their fingers way too fast to be using manual typewriters (in the 1950s) and the sound was more like that which would come from electronic typewriters. Keys on manual typewriters had to be pressed fairly hard, one at a time, to ensure the letter would make a good imprint on the paper and prevent the keys/hammers from getting stacked on top of one another (jammed) if the typist's fingers moved faster than the keys did. Accuracy over speed was important to avoid errors. (00:16:14)

Factual error: When Laura dropped Cody off at school, there was one boy (far left side of screen) wearing shorts. In 1950s (and later) California, boys were required to wear long pants to school (no shorts!) and girls had to wear dresses. (00:15:26)

Other mistake: Laura's Arizona license plate (G 652P) was, understandably, a combination or blending of the design from Jan 2008 - Apr 2020 (blue/white/yellow horizontal colors) with a serial format closer to that of the mid-1950s, but improper for either time period. The 2008 - 2020 plate serial format was "ABC 1234." Laura's 1955 plate - when the serial format was "A - 12345" - should not have had a letter ("P") on the far right. ("G" could be the code for Gila, Graham, or Greenlee County, but which one?). (01:24:19)
