Continuity mistake: Holmes throws an object through the window to let the glass and let the poisonous gas out, but the next shot shows Holmes helping Watson to a completely open window.
Other mistake: Holmes appears disguised as a Sikh, complete with turban and beard. Although his face is black, his hands are without any make up and are white as snow.
