Fifty Shades Darker

Anastasia starts a new job as an assistant at a publishing company under the guidance of Jack Hyde. She runs into Christian Grey at a photography exhibit, and they have an awkward encounter. Meanwhile, Christian, still haunted by his dark past, misses Anastasia and decides to make an effort to win her back into his life.

Christian convinces Anastasia to give their relationship another chance, promising to be more open and willing to compromise. They start dating again, but Christian's possessive nature and controlling behavior still cause tension between them. Anastasia wants to understand his past, so Christian starts opening up about his abusive childhood and the woman who introduced him to his dominant lifestyle.

As their relationship progresses, Anastasia meets Elena Lincoln, Christian's older friend and former lover. Elena warns Anastasia that Christian will never be able to fully commit to a "vanilla" relationship, which conflicts with Anastasia's desires for a more traditional partnership. Despite this warning, Anastasia decides to help Christian overcome his emotional traumas and his dependency on their BDSM dynamic.

Christian proposes to Anastasia with a stunning ring, and she accepts, leading to a lavish engagement party. However, as the party commences, Elena starts spreading rumors about their relationship, causing tension between Christian and Anastasia. In the heat of an argument, Anastasia demands more control in their relationship and presents Christian with a new contract where she sets her own boundaries.

Christian reluctantly agrees to the new terms, showing his commitment to their relationship. They spend more time together, experiencing romantic moments and exploring their connection outside of the bedroom. However, their happiness is short-lived when Jack Hyde, Anastasia's new boss, becomes increasingly obsessed with her and begins harassing her.

In a final confrontation, Jack attempts to assault Anastasia, but Christian intervenes and saves her. Christian later fires Jack and ensures that he won't be a threat anymore. As Christian and Anastasia's relationship strengthens, they come to realise that they need mutual trust and respect to make it work.

The film concludes with Anastasia and Christian attending a masquerade ball. During the event, Christian proposes a new arrangement where they will be equal partners in every aspect of their relationship, marking a pivotal shift in their dynamic. Anastasia happily accepts, signifying a new chapter and a deeper connection between the two.

Other mistake: When Christian and Ana are discussing his birthday, you can see Christmas decorations in a window they pass, indicating that his birthday is somewhere around that time. However, his birthday is in June.

Trivia: When Ana is telling Hannah, her new assistant, what she expects of her in the job, the dialogue is taken from the 1988 film "Working Girl," starring Dakota Johnson's mother, Melanie Griffith. Ana says, "I expect you to call me Ana. I don't expect you to fetch me coffee, unless you're getting some for yourself, and the rest, we'll just make up as we go along." In "Working Girl," Melanie Griffith says, "I expect you to call me Tess. I don't expect you to fetch me coffee unless you're getting some for yourself, and the rest we'll just make up as we go along."
