Factual error: The film is set in 1987 and Eddie ends up in hospital. However the bed we see him on is a fairly modern one with hand controls to raise and lower the bed. Not available in 1987.
Trivia: Eddie is given a heartfelt pep talk by his idol Matti Nykänen, the Finnish ski jumper. Nykänen actually spoke no English at all.
