Continuity mistake: When Dwight opens the door and is down on the floor, Ray and Buddy help him. The big machine with the large red letters changes from reading "99:0..." to "00:00:00" then back to the "99:0..." between shots. (01:06:00)

The recall mentioned all Japanese cars exploding in rain. Cindy's car explodes, but hers is a Volkswagen, which is German.
Answer: There is no Child's Play reference in this movie, the closest one was the living clown doll, which is a spoof of "Poltergeist"
