Other mistake: In the close-up of the report card, you can see Greg got all "F"s, even in Physical Education, but unlike the other subjects that list his comprehension as being below average, not completing the assignments, etc., the grade there is not coherent with the comment, since it says, "Student shows satisfactory level of participation." Other mistake: At the start just after Drew is seen in the line of the sprinklers, the killer is seen walking towards her with his knife held high in his right hand. If you look closely in this shot you can see blood on the knife despite not stabbing Drew yet. In the next shot it is gone. (00:03:45)
Answer: That whole scene is a spoof of the show "Dawson's Creek". The guy is James Van Der Beek, who played Dawson Leery, the title character.
