Continuity mistake: When Apollo is knocked out during the fight with Drago, he falls to the canvas in slow motion. During the fall his hands are hanging down, but in the next shot, when he lies on the floor after the fall, his hands are in front of his head. In the next shot his arms are down again. (00:31:25)

Rocky faces his toughest challenge yet as Ivan Drago, a very strong Russian comes to town and challenges Apollo Creed. Apollo accepts, thinking the Russian and himself can have an exhibition fight in Las Vegas. Ivan Drago kills Apollo Creed in their match and Rocky vows revenge.
Rocky challenges Drago and goes to Russia to train in some of the best training montage scenes ever seen in a film.
Rocky goes to war with Ivan Drago and all the fans are against him. As the match progresses though, the fans turn and begin to support Rocky who takes it to the last round before KOing the big Russian.

Trivia: Some of the scenes during the fight with Drago were real. During the filming Dolph Lundgren (Drago) broke three of Sylvester Stallone's ribs while shooting the final fight scene.
