Continuity mistake: A fork in Grace's square bowl props against the corner that is closest to her glass of wine. Grace holds a magazine with both hands. When Grace reaches for her wine, the bowl is at a different angle and the fork is gone. (00:08:00)
Character mistake: [Story 1: Hungry Joe] It isn't clear what blood test results the doctor receives for Joe, but Laura pleads that she "really needs to know what's wrong with her son" because "He eats, he eats, and he eats, and he never stops." The doctor dismisses Laura's concern and replies, "Growing boys eat... we'll see you in six months." The doctor should order additional tests. Blood tests can show "false negatives" and the appropriate blood tests may not have been ordered in the first place. (00:04:25 - 00:05:18)
Continuity mistake: In the hospital, Sebastian's head is centered on the pillow. When the camera shifts, the top of the pillow to the right of his face is angled too low towards the upper-right of the screen. (00:02:26 - 00:02:51)
Continuity mistake: Esther holds the wad of money above her head and "deals out" the stack while spinning, sending bills flying erratically around her at different radii. After she walks away, a view of the floor shows almost all of the money has inexplicably landed overlapping into a small circular pattern without enough space for Esther to have been standing within the circular area for the money to fall like it does. When the doctor enters the room, the bills are more dispersed on the floor, as well as the bed. (00:48:38)
Continuity mistake: In the front view of Olivia when she sits at her desk and opens her laptop, the clear LED globe lightbulb to her right is illuminated with a visible filament, but the bulb looks solid white when the camera shifts to a rear view. (01:22:22)
Suggested correction: It's still a clear bulb in the rear view, you're just seeing the white curtains behind the clear bulb.
Filaments should still be visible because they are darker and in front of the paler background.
The filament is still visible.
Didn't look illuminated on my screen.
It definitely is illuminated. It might be hard to tell with so much lighting already present in the scene, especially coming through the window.
I seriously doubt there's enough background light to make what is supposed to be a clear illuminated LED bulb several feet in front of it to fade away. (This will be my last response).
Then you're talking about two completely different lamps altogether because the bulb is in front of a giant window with light coming through the thin curtain and it's inches away from the window, not feet. And it's not faded away at all.
Factual error: Eleanor Falco is mentioned as having substance problems. No way would the FBI recruit someone with such a problem.
Deliberate mistake: When they're watching the footage of the tsunami hitting Cannon Beach, Sabrina turns the TV off as the shot pulls backwards. Suddenly, the glare on the TV appears out of nowhere.
Continuity mistake: It is about 10:17 on the wall clock when the surprise birthday party guests shout "Happy Birthday." By the time the fourth guest hugs Lyra, the clock jumps to 10:55 (38 minutes within the 22 seconds of hugging). (00:02:13 - 00:02:35)
Continuity mistake: At the hair salon, front views of Amber's long, wavy hair vary, although there is an almost consistent loop of hair that extends from her right ear to her coat's collar. Rear views of Amber's head are consistently flat and do not show the loop of hair. (00:21:40 - 00:22:07)
Deliberate mistake: Ryan was cooking venison (deer meat) in a pan over hot coals. He speared a piece with his knife and held it up for his young son, Billy, to take, which Billy did with his fingers. But did not get burned or show any signs that the meat was hot. Billy was even able to take a bite of the meat. The meat could not have cooled off that fast, even outdoors in jacket-wearing weather. (00:07:04)
Continuity mistake: Hera takes a sip of coffee, holding the Styrofoam cup in her right hand, but suddenly holds the cup - still at her mouth - in her left hand. (00:05:52)
Visible crew/equipment: There is no light in the kitchen that can produce the light/glare in the upper right corners of Nikolaj's glasses when his mother is facing him from a couple of feet away. Also, there is glare on his glasses when he is standing in school, reading his essay, and sitting at his desk. (Lights from camera or equipment can explain the glare.) (00:03:37 - 00:06:04)
Continuity mistake: Before going outside with Alex to meet the crowd, the knot in Henry's tie has one diagonal white (or light-coloured) stripe showing, which is near the centre. When Henry opens the door, there are two stripes showing on the knot - one near the top and the other near the bottom of his shirt's collar. (01:45:40 - 01:46:35)
Continuity mistake: The dad is given a face tattoo on his right cheek just before going down the alley to be attacked. He is driving in his car, and the tattoo is gone.
Factual error: Henk arrives in Moscow. The KGB gets a copy of his passport. In the next scene, a building can be seen, and a Trabant 601 drives through the shot (one light out). Trabant was East German made and widely exported on the Eastern Block but never to the Soviet Union. This car is definitely wrong there. (00:30:40)
Continuity mistake: The cucumber half is facing in the opposite direction after the camera shift. The flesh is toward the right of the screen, then to the left. Also, the knife Margaret set near the corner of the table next to the cucumber half disappears; it should be below her right arm when she is reaching for her drink. (00:15:17)
Continuity mistake: While Lucky does push-ups on the floor, the positions of the pack of cigarettes and lighter on the coffee table change. In the side view, the cigarette pack goes from partially behind the glass to a couple of inches to the right, and the lighter goes from mostly to the right of the cigarettes to behind the pack. (00:42:08)
Continuity mistake: The position of the pamphlet display on the side table changes a few times after Paul sits on the couch. The pamphlets are near the upper right-hand corner of the table before Paul sits, and then the pamphlets are behind the lamp, towards the rear-center. The pamphlets are in the upper left-hand corner, then suddenly in the upper right-hand corner (where they start) when Paul removes one from the display. The location and angle of the lamp shade also vary. (00:09:00 - 00:09:25)
