Other mistake: During the close-up of Jay's Mega Ball's receipts (just after he got the phone from the manager of his franchise), you can see the two receipts have different numbers but the exact same transaction details. (00:21:25)
Continuity mistake: After the scene at the police station where the police chief tells his deputy about the cheesecake incident, Rita says hi to her neighbour Maggie, who is leaving for work. Maggie tells her that she and Jay are not going to be together anymore. Her hand changes position on top of the car door and suddenly is off the door entirely. (00:19:00)
Continuity mistake: While giving Jay a back massage, the masseuse's straps are up. Then her right strap falls over her shoulder and a grey strap is showing. Even though both of her hands are occupied, her strap goes back in place and the grey strap is no longer visible. (00:12:10 - 00:12:53)
Continuity mistake: When the first police officer looks at the body, Maggie's long hair is down her back, but is not when an officer takes a photo. (00:01:38 - 00:02:33)
Other mistake: The window looks closed, but even if the window is open, the woman ironing in her house across the parking lot would not be able to hear Jay and Maggie's argument from that distance, only muffled voices at best. (00:05:18 - 00:06:11)
Continuity mistake: During the short conversation with Jay, the hands on Maggie's wristwatch change from being on the opposite side of the crown (push-button) to pointing at the crown. (00:04:44)
