Continuity mistake: Various views of Chase's dead body were inconsistent. From the two boys' perspective, Chase's body was at the edge of the water and the sun was shining on the water and along/near his left leg. An aerial view showed a canopy of tree leaves over the area, meaning the sunshine would not be able to penetrate the thick tree cover. From the sheriff's view in the tower (unobstructed by trees), the position of Chase's body relative to the fire tower was too far away and at the wrong angle. (00:03:00 - 00:04:08)
Continuity mistake: The top of Brecken's head was close to (within a few inches of) the headboard before his mother brought the pillow. When his mother put the pillow over his face and the camera shifted to a right-side rear view, the upper part of the bed was raised about 45°. When Lang Dotrice (Brecken's father) arrived and sat on his bed, the pillow used to smother Brecken was at least a foot away from the headboard and Brecken's head (still under the pillow) was about a yard away from the headboard. Continuity mistake: Young Norma Jean is shown a photo of her father placed at the head of her bed. It has him facing right and there is a large white defect in the photo at the upper left corner. When the photo is "talking" to her in a succeeding scene, he is facing left, and the defect is on the upper right corner.
Continuity mistake: Solomon put the rope around his waist underneath his coat, but when he was walking through the woods the rope was tied over his coat. Also, the knot would start out in the front of his left side but change to behind his back even though the rope was loose (not taut) behind him. (00:01:55 - 00:02:26)
Continuity mistake: While driving to Harper's house, Jordan did not have the sun visor down, but it was down when she was backing up after she passed Harper's house, #237. The sun visor was not down when Jordan was going down the driveway to the house. (00:17:15)
Continuity mistake: In the bar scene after Padraic tries the "new tactic" on Colm, in some shots of the scene you can see 4 pint glasses on the table (three empty and one full for Colm), and in other shots there are 5 (three empty, one full and one half full). (01:20:47)
Continuity mistake: The position of Esther's bag on her bed changed, going from a few inches away from the foot of the bed to one corner of the bag almost touching the end of the bed. (00:29:30)
Continuity mistake: Francis pistol-whipped Leonard and - although there initially was no red mark - a red mark could be seen when Leonard attended to Richie's wound. Not long afterwards, the red mark was gone (but should have still been there). (00:21:35 - 00:35:06)
Continuity mistake: At the bar in Cannes, Jesse pins his pilot wings on Tom so he can make an impression with a lady. A Marine comes over, threatening Jesse. Tom comes to Jesse's defense, and he no longer has the pilot's wings on his uniform. (01:07:54 - 01:10:08)
Continuity mistake: The sky (sun versus clouds and color - blue, white, or gray) changes frequently during the few minutes when Lara is leaving the site until she returns to retrieve her bag. Before she falls into the hole, the sun is shown near the horizon, about to set, but the sun is shining on her in the hole. A setting sun would not be able to emit rays into a distant hole. Continuity mistake: When Harry wrapped Lily's ankle injury, there was bloody wrapping below the duct tape. When Karl asked to see Lily's leg, there was no blood showing on the material below the tape. Also, Harry did not completely cover the ankle injury with duct tape like he did to keep creatures from smelling the blood on Lily's stomach cut, questioning why the creatures could not smell the blood on Lily's ankle. Continuity mistake: During their first encounter (the first we see in the movie, at least), Sheila sits next to Gary, and they both order Old Fashioned. Phil the Bartender makes a comment on that, and she shoos him off. Look at Kaley Cuoco 's bag; one of the straps keeps going on/off the top of the bag between shots. (00:03:30)
Continuity mistake: Angel had her hands very close to (almost touching) the towel, but when the camera shifted to a front view of her, the towel was a couple feet away from her hands. Also, the peppers that were to the right of her hands were suddenly in front of them (moved with the celery to her left). (02:00:00)
Continuity mistake: Marge had her left hand on a Win Fall ticket that (supposedly) was coming out of the printer on the side of the machine. Marge moved her hand away without removing the ticket. When the camera shifted, the ticket was not there. (00:54:10)
