Factual error: ***SPOILER ALERT*** When Padraic sets Colm's house on fire, he ignites the fires using a Zippo lighter, which would not be produced until 1933, ten years after the film is set.
Pádraic Súilleabháin: Some things there's no moving on from. And I think that's a good thing.
Trivia: The jumpers worn by the cast were all knitted by hand by one woman for the film, Delia Barry.
