Revealing mistake: Although the background scenery in the basement (behind the judge and Ron) changes with camera views, what is shown rarely (if ever) corresponds to the correct size and angle/location that would be expected. For example, the file cabinet in the corner behind Judge Straight shows up in different places, some very close to him and others at a distance; its size is not proportionate. Sometimes, the brick wall is directly behind the judge but to the right (of the screen) at other times. (00:03:28 - 00:11:29)
Factual error: Towards the end of the movie when Superman and Henshaw are fighting on the Watch Tower in space, Lois hits the sun shades to lower them so that direct sunlight can hit Superman and power him up. This is out in space with no atmosphere to filter the sunlight. The reason the blockers were there was for this reason, to keep the harmful unfiltered sun light from hitting people on the ship through the windows. However, she is able to stand there in the direct light after it's done and kiss and hold Superman without being hurt or burned by the intense direct unfiltered sunlight or its radiation.
Continuity mistake: The evil stepsisters shove Kat at the feet of Dominic with latte splattered all over her face. But the mess looks different in the various shots. For instance, in the close-up when he asks her if she's okay and if she hurt herself there's a big splotch by the corner of her mouth, which was not there earlier (she was dirty under the nose at most) and is gone in the next shot. Continuity mistake: Young Theo Decker is having his first dinner with the Barbours. Seeing that he's not eating much, Nicole Kidman asks him if he would like her to ask the maid Etta to make something else. On Theo's right, Andy is holding the fork with his right hand. As Theo answers "I'm not hungry", Andy's left hand suddenly is on the table too. (00:06:00)
Continuity mistake: When Aunt Sarah arrives, she dumps her luggage in the hands of Jim and then passes him to his right, leaving him between herself and the door. In the reverse shot, Jim is on the opposite side. (00:29:15)
Factual error: This is set in 1966. The soldiers are all using the Aussie version of the M16 which was introduced in Vietnam by their military in 1967 with limited use and only became more widely used somewhat later.
Suggested correction: There's no such thing as an Aussie version of the M16, they were all made in the USA by Colt, or its contractors. I assume the poster means the M16A1, identifiable by the bolt assist lug on the right hand side and closed flash suppressor.
Continuity mistake: In a flashback inside a pub, the protagonist writes his number on a coaster to hit on the waitress. During the scene, the coaster changes position repeatedly between shots. (00:25:55)
Visible crew/equipment: Ali's assistant sits in her office as she goes to apologise to him. But in the reflection of his glasses you can see the green screen which I suppose is meant be the windows of the office. (01:32:00)
Factual error: The royal parade is supposed to be of the Yorkshire Hussars, but the filmmakers instead borrowed the King's Troop, Royal Horse Artillery, complete with guns. Although the uniform was similar, the Yorkshire Hussars was a cavalry regiment until the Second World War, when it became an armoured regiment. It was never an artillery regiment.
Continuity mistake: She is walking from the sofa barefoot, but when she puts down the school year book on the glass table you can see that she has slippers with diamond stones on. (00:28:00)
Continuity mistake: For a second time in the movie, someone buzzes June on the intercom. She tries to overcome her fears and get out of the apartment, but can't. She shuts the door, leans with the left hand on the doorframe by the chain, and lowers her arm. In the next shot, Naomi Watts is breathing deeply still with her hand by the chain. (00:06:05)
Factual error: Attorney Aegis inappropriately rounded up/down a couple common statistics pertaining to the infamous Ford Pinto case, which resulted in a total that didn't add up: "it would cost the company $11 per Pinto to fix the problem. But with 12 million [should be 12.5] of 'em on the road, that would cost $137 million compared with $50 million [should be 49.5] to maintain the status quo. $137 million to fix a $50 million problem..." But 12 million x $11 = $132 million [not $137 million]. (00:24:38)
Continuity mistake: The amount of blood on 10-year-old Miguel's face and neck after his "jump in" is not consistent. Sometimes there is more (or less) blood on his cheeks and neck and sometimes it appears splattered compared to large areas diluted with blood. The intensity/color of the blood also changes - sometimes it is very red but other times it is paler. The cut on his left eyebrow apparently was not on the far left corner yet sometimes the blood started there; other times, the blood started almost to the middle of his eyebrow. Sometimes he has blood below his eyebrow. Despite all the blood on his face and neck (down to the sagging T-shirt), there is no blood on his white or light grey T-shirt. He also does not get any blood on his jacket. Miguel was repeatedly punched then kicked by several large, muscular adult gang members for 13 seconds (to become a member of the MS-13 gang) but is unrealistically able to get right up then go and pick up and carry his dog - with no limping or signs of pain. Continuity mistake: The inspector is showing the singer the gruesome images of her friend. As he says "It's how we identified the remains", she raises her right hand, but in the next shot it's with the left hand that she's touching her lips. (00:04:45)
Continuity mistake: When Hodaka first fires his gun whilst being threatened by the man, the shell casing lands on the ground beside him, right next to his head. A couple seconds later, when Hina goes to help him up so they can run off together, the shell casing has vanished from the ground. (00:22:06)
Continuity mistake: Throughout the movie, Peg's hair frequently changes from scene to scene and within a scene. When her hair has a blue ribbon around a bun at the top, her side parts are sometimes higher/lower and straight/jagged. The length of her hair varies, as does the amount of curl on the bottom. One of most noticeable variations in her hair length and curl occurs during her speech to her new employees at Personal Expenditures Garnering. It changes several times from just to the shoulders to a few inches below her shoulders. Back views of her hair tend to be shorter and front views tend to be longer. (00:44:42)
Revealing mistake: It was pouring when Adam, Hannah, and Megan got out of their SUV to talk to the Man and try to get help with the flat tire. As they stood there, no "rain" was hitting them and it became obvious that their partially wet-looking clothes were "pre-wet" - they returned to the SUV with the same amount of "wetness." Also, the rain was coming down in straight streams, all parallel. (The water flow appeared to be slightly angled to make the artificial "rain" look more natural).
