For instance, in the close-up when he asks her if she's okay and if she hurt herself there's a big splotch by the corner of her mouth, which was not there earlier (she was dirty under the nose at most) and is gone in the next shot. Factual error: This is set in 1966. The soldiers are all using the Aussie version of the M16 which was introduced in Vietnam by their military in 1967 with limited use and only became more widely used somewhat later.
Suggested correction: There's no such thing as an Aussie version of the M16, they were all made in the USA by Colt, or its contractors. I assume the poster means the M16A1, identifiable by the bolt assist lug on the right hand side and closed flash suppressor.
Continuity mistake: During the business meeting with Emma's boyfriend talking about Millenials, when he says "Your Grandpa is not our target demographic", keep an eye on the woman with the shaven head; she is playing with her pen in Emma's reaction shot but her hands are perfectly calm and flat on the table in the shots before and after. Continuity mistake: Katie has been grounded, and like most teenagers decides to just drink up a lot of booze. She's sitting on the bedroom floor with her bestie and passes her the bottle of vodka: her friend takes it with her left hand and drinks, but in the following shot she's finishing the gulp by holding it in her right hand instead.
Continuity mistake: Right at the beginning, two dumb kids looking for drugs are forced to make a spontaneous donation to the cult. Before the stream starts the pink polo one does not have the scooter on his shoulder, which is back when the stream starts, then off again.
Continuity mistake: She is walking from the sofa barefoot, but when she puts down the school year book on the glass table you can see that she has slippers with diamond stones on. (00:28:00)
Continuity mistake: Young Theo Decker is having his first dinner with the Barbours. Seeing that he's not eating much, Nicole Kidman asks him if he would like her to ask the maid Etta to make something else. On Theo's right, Andy is holding the fork with his right hand. As Theo answers "I'm not hungry", Andy's left hand suddenly is on the table too. (00:06:00)
Continuity mistake: When Aunt Sarah arrives, she dumps her luggage in the hands of Jim and then passes him to his right, leaving him between herself and the door. In the reverse shot, Jim is on the opposite side. (00:29:15)
Continuity mistake: The amount of blood on 10-year-old Miguel's face and neck after his "jump in" is not consistent. Sometimes there is more (or less) blood on his cheeks and neck and sometimes it appears splattered compared to large areas diluted with blood. The intensity/color of the blood also changes - sometimes it is very red but other times it is paler. The cut on his left eyebrow apparently was not on the far left corner yet sometimes the blood started there; other times, the blood started almost to the middle of his eyebrow. Sometimes he has blood below his eyebrow. Despite all the blood on his face and neck (down to the sagging T-shirt), there is no blood on his white or light grey T-shirt. He also does not get any blood on his jacket. Miguel was repeatedly punched then kicked by several large, muscular adult gang members for 13 seconds (to become a member of the MS-13 gang) but is unrealistically able to get right up then go and pick up and carry his dog - with no limping or signs of pain. Continuity mistake: Shen starts fighting some people in the building with a suit case and an umbrella. At one point he's holding the tip of the umbrella against the black guy's chest with his arm almost fully outstretched. The end of his umbrella is against the right side of the man's tie. When it cuts to the next shot, the end of the umbrella is now on the left side of the man's tie, and Shen's arm is bent in more with him closer. (00:10:16)
Continuity mistake: Scooby and Shaggy are lying face down on the massage table when the zombies arrive. Shaggy has his robe lowered baring the upper back, but in the close-ups you can still see the robe up covering his shoulders perfectly. (00:28:00)
Continuity mistake: When we see Erin and Leah for the first time, they're talking and smoochin'. Despite the conversation being continuous, the reciprocal position of their hands changes abruptly between shots at the beginning (Erin's hand is on the outside of Leah's, then on the inside, then outside again). Continuity mistake: When Hodaka first fires his gun whilst being threatened by the man, the shell casing lands on the ground beside him, right next to his head. Continuity mistake: For a second time in the movie, someone buzzes June on the intercom. She tries to overcome her fears and get out of the apartment, but can't. She shuts the door, leans with the left hand on the doorframe by the chain, and lowers her arm. In the next shot, Naomi Watts is breathing deeply still with her hand by the chain. (00:06:05)
Factual error: Attorney Aegis inappropriately rounded up/down a couple common statistics pertaining to the infamous Ford Pinto case, which resulted in a total that didn't add up: "it would cost the company $11 per Pinto to fix the problem. But with 12 million [should be 12.5] of 'em on the road, that would cost $137 million compared with $50 million [should be 49.5] to maintain the status quo. $137 million to fix a $50 million problem..." But 12 million x $11 = $132 million [not $137 million]. (00:24:38)
Factual error: During the opening credits, Alec Baldwin and Selma Hayek are driving back to New York. They pass by various buildings, one shot being entirely devoted to a dilapidated Blockbuster video store. That shot must have been archive footage from the UK, since you can see the realtor sign by it, and it's from Carter Jonas, a London based firm, and gives an 01962 phone number (Windsor).
Factual error: The Sheriff of the small town is wearing Sergeant stripes on her shoulder sleeves. If she was a Sheriff then no chevrons should be on her sleeves.
Continuity mistake: When Pinky barges into the protagonist's home, multiple times (for instance when he sits in front of her) her pigtails move behind her shoulders from the front and vice versa between cuts. (00:06:00)
