Factual error: In the mall where Jimmy meets Irene there is the Pandora logo in the background when Jimmy is going up the escalator. Pandora didn't open its first store in New Mexico until 2013. (00:27:00 - 00:28:00)
Factual error: When discussing a recent search of a suspect's home, Hill Harper says "we got his hard drives", but pulls a computer power supply out of a bag. Hard drives are significantly smaller and don't have a bundle of wires coming out the back of them.
The Silence of the Cicadas - S1-E3
Factual error: The station at the Arctic would have storage batteries to retain a charge for when storms obscure the solar panels, yet, once the bats cover the panels, they lose electricity.
Suggested correction: The power drops out but later on in the episode they have backup power. The problem is that the bat that gets into the base then takes out the backup power.
Factual error: They used an EpiPen to bring Liv back but they're holding it backwards. The way it's being held, Ravi would have injected himself instead of Liv and she wouldn't be revived.
Episode #1.1 - S1-E1
Factual error: When reviewing the phone numbers in the 1970s diary, they start '01' which was a change to UK numbers only brought in 1995.
Factual error: The Columbia paramilitary is seen throughout the 2nd season carrying M4's. The M4 configuration of the M16 was not available during the period Norcos took place. In one seen in fact an M4 has an EOTech optic mounted on it...backwards. Not only is the optic backwards, EOTech was not founded until the late 90's or early 2000's.
Factual error: The episode states that there is border control between Germany and Czechia. There is no border control within the Schengen area of the EU (which includes Germany and Czechia). You can cross borders by car or fly in a plane without showing your ID.
Able Archer - S1-E8
Factual error: Lenora packs her briefcase with various passports, including a burgundy covered one with the UK insignia. UK Passports in the 1980s had a dark-blue cover and did not adopt the EU standard burgundy cover until 1988.
Factual error: The home computer tablet controlling the alarm system shows June 11th, 2015 as a Wednesday. 06/11/15 was a Thursday.
Factual error: 1-1 A couple of spelling errors. A "community center" in Ceylon, a British colony, using the American instead of the British spelling. And Columbo listed as the capital of Ceylon; it's Colombo.
Factual error: A 1973 Cadillac ambulance on the street is shown. The show is set in the 1960's.
Death Will Have His Day - S2-E12
Factual error: In the hospital room scenes Rhonda still has her earrings in her ears and diamond wedding ring on her hand. A hospital always removes a patient's personal property and jewelry when admitted to the hospital. (00:12:00 - 00:24:00)
Factual error: A scene in a photographic darkroom shows Michael Gambon developing a colour print in a dish under safe lights. Not possible. Colour printing must be carried out in pitch dark usually inside a light tight print processor, as colour photographic paper is sensitive to all wavelengths of visible light.
Us vs. Them - S2-E2
Factual error: We see Liam's driver's license. It says he's from Rhode Island, but the license looks nothing like RI's. It's issued by the State Motor Vehicle Commission, but RI does not have an MVC (only New Jersey does). And the expiration date is always the same as the holder's birthday, but here we see it's 2 days after his birthday.
Factual error: As Ren enters Renautas and meets Emily, the word "Welcome" keeps scrolling in various languages on the screens in the background. Although hardly seen, the Hebrew is wrong, as it is reversed (text from left-to-right, as opposed to right-to-left).
Episode #1.1 - S1-E1
Factual error: Unlike Christie's novels, there is no explicit statement of the date - the original novel started on the August 8th, which is compatible with what is shown here; Vera is interviewed and the letters are all posted on August 2nd 1939, which would fit. However, there's a problem when Vera changes seats en route to Soldier's island. A passenger is reading the Daily Express, and the headline is from August 29th of that year. Too much time elapsed and it's the end of the Summer while the chat between Emily and Vera implies otherwise; it's also Tuesday but the doctor comments "It's been a long week" when he apologizes at dinner - the weekend feels a more appropriate time for a party and gathering as shown. (00:06:15)
Revolution 1 - S2-E4
Factual error: Hodiak is having breakfast at a dinner. There is a sign for breakfast with a price of $4.95. In 1967 the price for breakfast would have been around $1.25 or less. Minimum wage was $1.60 an hour and the price of a big Mac, for example, was $0.50 and fries $0.10. So a $4.95 price for breakfast is just ridiculous.
For the Want of a Nail - S6-E9
Factual error: Dr. Choi is seeing a patient. The patient is wearing a nasal cannula. Dr. Choi asks that the oxygen be upped and an oxygen mask be used. The nurse takes a mask and puts it on the patient. Right over the cannula.
Factual error: Many elements of Marlott's trial and execution are incorrect. The judge sits with two assessors (a European practice, not a British one). He is addressed as 'Your Honour' instead of the correct 'My Lord'. He instructs the jury to find Marlott guilty and then goes straight to sentencing, which would never happen; a judge can instruct a jury to acquit, but not convict. He puts the black cap on himself, instead of an attendant doing it. The form of words for the death sentence is incorrect. The chaplain (who appears to be Catholic, not Anglican) gives a speech at the scaffold.
Factual error: Detective Chief Inspector Kapoor is suddenly shown in uniform with inspector's rank insignia. Detectives never wear uniform (except rarely on formal occasions) and he has apparently dropped a rank.
