Continuity mistake: When Dave is shot by Mindy while training, there are two bullet holes in his jacket when he has only been shot once at that point.
Character mistake: In Pitch Black they established the system they crashed in (M-344/G) had 3 stars. Jack stated it when the 2nd sunrise started, and the solar system model also had 3 stars. In this film when Boss Johns starts asking about M-344/G he says it is "a backwater system with 2 suns and 1 habitable planet."
Factual error: When Braniac's robot probe enters the atmosphere over Arizona, fighter jets attempt to shoot it down by hitting it with missiles. The pod is still going fast enough to be on fire from reentry. A missile could not have caught up to an object going that fast. (00:11:30)
Audio problem: When Tony is telling Pepper about what happened to Rhodey, there is one shot of the side of Tony, slightly to a back angle where he is talking. His jaw does not move at all while speaking during that shot. (00:27:10)
Character mistake: At the party, Fred is supposed to make a bbq, feeding about 50 people. But once he's got the fire going, he puts two lonely pieces of hamburger meat on top, to cook - only two.
Continuity mistake: Young Dan and Jo are fighting over their meal. The position of the tray on the table changes several times, most noticeably when Dan leaps off the table. Moreover, when he returns to it after he jumped off the bed, the tray is empty minus a little red berry, but it still had rice and other food on it earlier. (00:18:30)
Revealing mistake: When Tanya has just died, her face goes still and she stops breathing, but you can still see her pulse beating in her neck.
Continuity mistake: When The Rock is putting early in the movie he is on the phone, when the shot comes back to the room the putting green is missing. (00:01:50)
Factual error: This film takes place in the north eastern USA. During the beautiful scene with the large black bird soaring above, they added a close up of an Andean Condor. The Andean Condor only lives in South America; Peru, Argentina, Chile, etc.
Revealing mistake: Robin is running away from company investigators. He comes across a supposed wire link fence. He breaks it with his bare hands, and by the flapping of the open piece you can see it is made with strings not wire.
Continuity mistake: In "China", when the trackers and the hunters are walking through the forest at night, between shots, the group goes from five people to four people back to five people. (00:30:46)
Factual error: When the protagonist is looking up the fingerprint (or fingertip...) data in the computer, he gets a match for a New York State Driver license. The document is a clear fake, with no document number (which in 2008 was on the front) and a 10 digits client ID number instead of 9 digits. (00:04:00)
Continuity mistake: Ari during the break from the party begins her seductive scheme; posing as a waitress at this guy's own engagement party, she approaches him while he is -for some reason - in the parking lot, makes him smoke a joint for the first time in front of his car, and kisses him - apparently all of this is super easy, barely an inconvenience. When she touches his face, she lowers her fingers from the chin at least 3 times in separate shots when she is whispering things to him. (00:11:50)
Continuity mistake: After the fake movie intro, the two guys drive to a secluded place where their drop is supposed to happen. "Cheno", the one in the driver seat, has the right hand down his side and the left hand on the right side of the steering wheel in a pretty unique position. But in the reverse shot, it's his right hand on the wheel. (00:03:00)
Continuity mistake: When Oscar is on the phone to learn about the location of the job interview in the warehouse district, the paper that was on top of the payphone jumps suddenly in the hand that holds the receiver to his ear, with the phone call already being over. (00:22:25)
Plot hole: Luka sneaks into Bayonetta's hotel room and plants a hidden microphone. While sneaking out, he is caught. That's when he is astonished to find a child with Bayonetta who calls her "mummy." He does eventually escape the room and sits in corner with his radio, surprised that they both went to bed and he receives nothing. The problem is: One must be an idiot to plant a mic in a lone woman's hotel room in the dead of the night, unless he truly enjoys listening to her snoring! Planting the mic in her apartment or office, or on her mobile phone makes a lot more sense.
Other mistake: Throughout the film, you can frequently see many people's faces blurred, phone numbers blurred, store-fronts blurred, etc. This is because the production could not afford the rights to show these people, places and things, and simply blurred them out.
Factual error: Near the end, Zoe and Trey battle to the death, Zoe armed with a tomahawk and a knife, Trey armed with a Husqvarna chainsaw. During the battle, Zoe manages to amputate Trey's right hand, with which he was gripping the chainsaw's safety release and trigger (as his left hand gripped the support handle). Bellowing in pain, Trey continues swinging the chainsaw by its support handle with his left hand. Lo and behold, the chainsaw is somehow, miraculously, still revving in-and-out, which is only possible if the safety release is continuously depressed with the palm of the right hand as the fingers rhythmically flex to squeeze the trigger. Of course, with all major tendons in the wrist severed, an amputated hand cannot grip or flex or squeeze anything.
Revealing mistake: Not bad digital effects for a combination "Predator" and "Jurassic Park" monster movie, except that the dinosaurs don't cast shadows about half the time.
Visible crew/equipment: When the first car seen in the movie stops, the camera rig can be seen reflected in the hubcap.
