Continuity mistake: In one scene, the family is watching SpongeBob SquarePants. However, the first time the TV is shown, one episode is playing. The next time the TV is shown, a different episode is playing (with a time difference between the episodes that doesn't make sense). The episodes involved are "That's No Lady" and "No Weenies Allowed", but I don't remember which order they come in.
Continuity mistake: When Emily is standing in front of the swing, in a back view of her, her legs are close together, in her front view her legs are farther away.
Continuity mistake: His best selling novel changes in quantity on the shelf in his office. After he signs a copy for the officer they increase in number, and lean one way then the other.
Continuity mistake: Tom walks into Anthony's memory. Anthony is sitting by the pool next to a table with two glasses of beer, which are 1/3rd empty. A few minutes later the memory is replayed, but this time both beer glasses are mostly full. (00:49:50 - 00:58:35)
Continuity mistake: When the mean Santa puts the little girl in his lap and asks her what she wants, she's wearing gloves. When it cuts to a different angle, suddenly her gloves are gone.
Continuity mistake: George's son is disappointed because his dad missed the ball game and tells him that he should have been there. Meanwhile Denise Richards approaches the cooking pot with her spoon in her right hand and the plate in her left. Close-up on her telling Howie that dad was busy, and spoon and plate switched hands. Continuity mistake: In the intro, the mother is playing with her kid; notice that when she grabs the gladiator puppet she is holding it with the index finger above the shoulder in the wider angle, below in the frontal close-up. (00:01:00)
Continuity mistake: On "Ham Nite" The Pirate Captain starts doing his dance with a slice of ham on his sword. But by the time he does the splits, the slice of ham is no longer on his sword, but now on his plate. (00:03:50)
Continuity mistake: When Carter is in the interview room with Allen he looks at the clock and it reads 09.30am after Regan releases him Regan goes to the Sweeney office and sits at his desk, Carter looks at his watch and it says 09.00. (00:54:10 - 00:58:30)
Continuity mistake: Hydell (the crazy brother) locks The Warden in the airlock. He begins to write "BI BI" in the condensation on the glass. The positioning of the letter 'I' in the first "BI" changes as the camera switches inside the airlock. It is now touching the first letter 'B'. Also the second letter 'B' is now much neater. Continuity mistake: When Luke grabs a beer from the mini bar in the hotel, there's a lot of beer foam in the top of the bottle. In the next shot, when Luke's sitting on the bed, the foam is gone without taking a first sip.
Continuity mistake: When Sheriff Cooper writes "Karsson" and underlines it on the chalkboard, the way it is written changes between shots. In one particular shot, the line he underlined it with is suddenly rubbed out.
Continuity mistake: The man with one arm in the projector slides shows his right arm removed below the elbow. The next slide shows his left arm missing, and then it goes back to his right. (00:35:34)
Continuity mistake: Sheila is clutching the phone to her chest with both hands, since Melinda is reaching for it to delete the butt-flexing video. The door chimes and the bearded man enters the store; in the foreground Sheila is in a different position with her arms crossed, and in a third one with her arms down at the next cut. And even more noticeable, a 4th different one as she walks away, holding the phone across the chest to the opposite side of her body all of a sudden. (00:07:50)
Continuity mistake: Alexandre Lagarde puts his fork into the plate of the attractive client, much to the scorn of her husband. The morsel in close-up and the one she actually puts in her mouth are different. (00:06:10)
Continuity mistake: The position of Beth's truck facing her motel room (106 or 706?) changes during the time she is talking to Holly. Sometimes the truck is closer to the room next to hers (105 or 705) and to where Beth is standing. Also, the truck's front tires are different distances from the curb. (00:48:25)
Continuity mistake: In the car after Martin tells Hans about the throat slitting story, Billy and him get into an argument about the violence of the story. Billy says "It's going to be violent, it's about seven fucking psychopaths!" Martin then says "Hey!" But you can see in the back seat his mouth doesn't move for that. Then it cuts to a close up of Martin and his head is in a different position, facing Billy where he was looking out the window a moment before. (00:58:05)
Continuity mistake: In the middle of the film, the girl scouts and the leader are having a juice break and in walks the love interest (the father of one of the scouts). In the shot where the leader walks towards the love interest, the way she carries her glass of juice changes from the top to the side.
Continuity mistake: Dinner at Forestier's home, and Georges Duroy does not know which knife to use to eat. The asparagi in his plate are across the small pie in the wide shot, and in close-up they are arranged entirely on the side without his intervention. (00:08:20)
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Billy Crystal is chasing his grandson at the recital, he has day-glow paint on his face. A few seconds later in front of the stage, the day-glow paint is gone.
