Factual error: When Tom calls Hannah from New York (and she is in Scotland) there is still bright daylight in New York. When Hannah answers she says it is 3am in Scotland. With a time difference of only 5 hours, this would mean it would be 10pm in New York and therefore dark.
Factual error: A video is shown of Derek Huff singing "Ice Ice Baby" at a school talent show that took place when his brother Brennan was 17. Robert states his desire to retire in "in two years," in 2010, making the movie's setting 2008. Brennan is 39 in the film, placing the talent show 22 years ago in 1986. The song "Ice Ice Baby", recorded by Vanilla Ice, came out in the summer of 1990.
Factual error: As a trash compactor Wall-E does not function logically. When he fills his chest compartment with garbage and runs his internal compactor, the cube that exits his body is the same volume as the trash he puts in, despite that trash having been compacted. He does not add extra trash to fill the empty space after running the compactor - there are three scenes that show him filling up only once with loose garbage and then ejecting a densely compacted cube. Factual error: The flag on the outer left of the square keeps changing between the correct flag for Germany (horizontal black, red, yellow) as seen from the aerial shot when the bomb explodes, and a wrong version (horizontal red, yellow, black) which can be seen when Howard Lewis first accesses the square. She should have set the clocks backwards to make him late.
Factual error: Jill tells Ben that she has a suite at the Hard Rock and asks if he would like to see it. In the next scene it shows her looking out the window (presumably at the Hard Rock) and seeing the fountains of the Bellagio. This is not possible as these two resorts are almost two miles apart on different roads.

Factual error: The electrical power grid fails, depicted by a series of shots of city blackouts and equipment shutdowns. When the power goes out, the lights of an oil refinery go out as well as the flare. In actuality the exact opposite happens to a flare when powered equipment such as compressors and cooling devices fail simultaneously. The flare is not an electrically powered device and is designed to stay lit during power outages. All excess pressure is immediately vented to the flare stack within a second, causing an enormous flame and smoke cloud that will be visible for several miles.
Factual error: When you see the blind Syndey walk through her appartment she keeps touching the walls to feel where she is. A person who has been blind for over 20 years (as is mentioned in the film) knows the way around their own home. They know preciseley how many steps it is from room to room. They wouldn't keep touching the wall like this.
