Continuity mistake: When Abby is finished washing the dishes, she tosses the towel she was using and it lands on top of a red can. An immediate close-up of the towel on top of the can proves this (0:25:29). A second later, the picture zooms out again to show her bending over from exhaustion (0:25:30). The towel is no longer on the can, but behind it against the wall. Abby follows the shop owner into a room adjacent to the kitchen and when they come back, the towel is once again on top of the can (0:25:55), but most of it is inside the can this time. It's obvious that neither her nor the shop owner has touched the towel and no one else is in the shop. (00:25:25)
Continuity mistake: When Annie is taken to the truck (in Mexico), she has no coat on and a gag in her mouth. When they reach the cantina, she is taken out of the truck wearing a brown jacket and no gag, but as soon as they show her inside the cantina, she once again has on no coat and is gagged.
Continuity mistake: During the scene that Bo and Sam kiss, his hair changes between shots. From the back, his hair is completely pulled back. From the front, his bangs are down. (01:27:20)
Continuity mistake: When Despereaux fights the cat in the rat arena, he hides behind a blue ball of yarn. When the cat hits the yarn, causing Despereaux and the yarn to fly in the air, in the next shot, the ball of yarn vanishes and never reappears again.
Continuity mistake: While Michael Malone and Gen. Patton are discussing what just happened in the subway, in the background, two ACLU zombie-lawyers begin chasing an ambulance as it drives away. After a brief cut away, we return to the same view - and the same zombie-lawyers chasing the same ambulance.
Continuity mistake: When Rincewind and Twoflower are at the Edge, Rincewind tells how he only knows the one spell from the Octavo and how he got it. In several shots of Twoflower the clouds in the background change drastically, often between one- and two-seconds shots of Rincewind. The clouds are almost motionless in every shot, so they could not have drifted that fast so suddenly.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where the drama teacher is in the copy shop trying to decide what color paper to buy, his hand keeps moving between shots. Every time the shot is from the copy shop side of the counter, the drama teacher's right hand is in front of the blue paper. But every time the shot is from the drama teacher's side of the counter, his right hand is in front of the orange paper.
Continuity mistake: When the pea-soup is first taste tested, you can see close up that it is under C. Once it zooms out to the room, it seems B and C have changed places. (00:07:20)
Continuity mistake: After having sex on their 2nd date, Lawrence and Janet are talking in bed. Her arms move instantly from over her head to her side.
