Continuity mistake: In an early scene Jack and Collette sit in a bar. While he is drinking a martini she tells him that he is the father of her son. He is so shocked by the news that he practically finishes the entire drink, leaving only a little bit and the olive in the glass when he sets it down. The camera swings to another angle and the martini is full again and after the camera changes angles a few more times, each showing a full glass, it finally goes back to the original angle where the glass is once again almost empty. Continuity mistake: Toward the end of the movie when Alex is waiting for Isabel on the bridge, Isabel sees Alex and hits the breaks. Her foot is shown stepping on the pedal and her polish color is a light color. Later when the two are in the ambulance, her toe nails are painted bright red. (01:38:28)
Continuity mistake: In the run-away tram scene the camera shows a group of scared passengers. One of them, who is holding a real dog a few shots before is holding a stiff, stuffed dog and is waving it around.
Continuity mistake: When Gregory is preparing his house for the arrival of his friends, (first five minutes of movie) he makes the bed and opens all the windows. When John walks in the room, all the windows are closed.
Continuity mistake: When Robert finds Celine after she has been kidnapped by O'Reilly and Jackson we see several times that O'Reilly has bled from her left nostril and the blood has run down onto her bottom lip. After she gets shot, the blood stops at her top lip. (01:22:30 - 01:23:50)
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Wayne makes his speech at Szalynski Labs, he pretends to stand in a strange shape. When he does so, his speech cards are facing down. In the very next shot, the cards are facing up.
Continuity mistake: When Courteney Cox and Aiden Quinn start kissing, her head is tilted to the right. The camera changes angles and her head's to the left.
Continuity mistake: When the man at the wedding (in the gazebo) is shown wearing a money jacket, he removes the outer jacket he is wearing twice.
Continuity mistake: At the end of the dress rehearsal, when the policeman looks around the corner, someone's shirt appears on the armrest of Nathe's chair. (01:01:40)
Continuity mistake: When Joe goes to quit, it is late afternoon (it is getting dusky). But when he shows up at Ben's house afterwards to tell him that he just quit, it is lighter, like it's the middle of the day.

Continuity mistake: When Joy is packing up to leave for eastern Europe, she's talking to her mom and she has two trolls in her hand, and you can see that the troll with the blue hair is still on the stand. In the next shot, she has the troll with the blue hair in her hand.
Revealing mistake: When Oz goes to hack into the Scream 2 website, the exact same footage of him inserting the "custom" disk is used when he hacks into the security system - same red light, same angle, even same PC tower.
Revealing mistake: After Bill Murray breaks through the door with a hammer at Lori's house and says "Here's Johnny", he kicks the door open. On the back of the door you can see white tape, showing where to hit it.
Continuity mistake: In the middle of the hotel fight when Toby and Deliverance go through the door in their hotel room you see the door open and a number of shots impact it. The characters then go through the second of the double doors. This is commented on in the DVD commentary. Not only do the bullets not go through the second door, they don't go through the first. On top of that, you see a shot with the two doors opened, but when the bad guys enter the room the double doors miraculously turn into just one! This layout is then used for the rest of the scene.
Continuity mistake: When Joe and Gus enter the diner towards the start of the film we see the waitress come over to see if they are ready to order. The camera switches from looking at Gus and then to Joe. When the camera is on Joe, we see the guy sitting with his back to Joe turns his head round to the left to look at Joe and Gus. Then when the camera changes angle to look at Gus and Joe from in front of this guy, his head is twisting back round from the other direction (right to left).
Revealing mistake: When Georgie stands up at the roof-top pond, she casts a shadow on the background sunrise.
